Waaah_Wah, please show me I'm wrong. When 0.5 was out we (the PRM community) owned two of the top ten BF2 servers and had several more in the top 50. This is out of all the servers which played BF2 and all its varients! We had more players then POE2, USI, FH2, OPK, NAW, and even all but a couple of vanilla BF2 servers playing Karkand 24/7. Now the best server, Tactical Gamer, is ranked #17, second place goes to Thor's Brigade at #451.

Where you massively undermine your argument is by commenting that PR had more players than FH2 during 0.5.

Forgoten Hope 2 was released right at the back end of our 0.61 cycle, about two and a half weeks before 0.7.

When your claims are that generalised that you're making errors that glaringly obvious, people are going to doubt that your statistics for gameplay over 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7/now are accurate too.

Don't mention UAV, it's what "cheats the whole game into ****".
It's like adding a kill/death-cam so you can spot any hidden soldier after you die.

And for "manual artillery", you could also take Joint Operations' Mortars as an example.
In a mod for that game they even added the possibility to launch more grenades,
special grenades for vehicles, flash-grenades, smoke-grenades and light/flare-grenades.

Sure, some things might be a bit unrealistic, for the Mortar I mean just now.
But just look at how many cool features that game has, should take an example from it.

Wow, you got me there, I "massively" accidentally included ONE 1942 mod in my list (which BTW has been around a whole lot longer than PRM).

Facts are facts, DevFile and Tactical Gamer were both in the top ten of all BF2 servers. There was a huge influx of players at that time and it actually caused problems with not enough server space. I remember trying to get my 6 man clan squad into a server and having to hunt for one with enough slots to fit us all, then having to try to get us all on one team. It was a blast, and the noob hunting was lots of fun with all the fresh meat joining us.

well i loved the weapon jamming and spawining on planes !

as for alot of what u asked for well it need an independent game engine which if i recall correctly in the last DEV'S Chat on xfire they said they can only dream about it !! :(

way expensive and requirs alot of money and so go on !

this game and the developers deserve the best of the best from transforming the game from something dull and boring to something amazing ! this mod is still in the prime of its career in the bf2 moding and there are still alot and alot of things to wait in the upoming years for the mod !

Now i know it sounds retarded because of the difficulty of creating maps but B-1bs are one of the most frequently used aircraft for destroying targets in war today. As well as the fact they'd be awesome to fly because of their huge payload. So for the realism factor they'd be pretty awesome...although im assuming they're what drops the JDAMs :P
I want my B-1b!!! :P jk

Mortars however i think should be in the game!!! i know in the Brit. army every section has at least 2 81mm mortars.
Armed Forces - a5a13.1 - British Army - The Infantry - 81mm L16 Mortar
but then idk how they would be made. but you would just limit them to around four kits per team?
even taliban have 81mm and 107mm mortars ffs!! but then you would need a person to spot constantly :/

well there nothing wrong with wishing, and long as your not wishing for any thing ilegal :/.

I wish
put the cross hair's and the small zoom back on mounted LMG's so you can actually aim the bloody things,

Beef up the dot point sights and iron sight,


give the insurgent faction bandages, i don't think the talban have run out of rags in which to make bandages i mean they can't be that poor,

make the collaborator spawn time less harsh.


put the iron sight back on the t-90's 50cal,

put a iron sight in on the 50cal's in the dug outs pillboxes.

And maybe overheating for rifles.

Nice thread bump.

A lot of those suggestions on the first post have already been implemented, which kinda makes you wonder how far PR has come. Awesome stuff.

Personally I'd enjoy an "entering veichle" animation

Also:

1. veichles dont "explode" yet get disabled
2. ragdoll trees (lag lag and more lag)
3. Ejection launch, hit E in plane when above 150m and it will shoot you up instead of getting out right next to the plane and fear of being whacked by a wing
4. Helicopter out of control (looses control when low damage)
5. Moving carrier (2142 style)
6. talking.. instead of being able to talk through "radio" give off voice with range, so if you see a guy doing something stupid you scream at him isntead of saying "=LOLCLAN= LOLER: Stopit man!"
7. waves in water (that would be pretty)
8. Fishies!
9. new main menu video, like NATO earth with text you cant read, not really explainable and you click on a location, zoom, click again, zoom select area you want to deploy and it either takes you to the lowest ping server playing that map or says "There are no units in this area" or something
10. PLanes dont spawn but the gate opens and a plane slides out
11. Nuke...(tired of playing? press the red button)

Just think about all of the things you listed, go play PR for a month, stop playing, go behind a corner, slap yourself and come back to this thread and see how much you actually failed.

30% of that is allready in 20% is stupid, another 20% is nonsense then again 30% hardcoded...

I know, thats 90%, 10% is the good stuff you left out ^^

I checked the new thread about the new Combined Arms version and it has (WIP) rain in it!

I'd love to see that rain included in the PR right now, uuuuuh. Some maps with early night theme + rain... Qwai, Tad, Ghost Train... :o
