How are good pilots going to get aircraft if they don't wait for it? And just because you are on the ground a lot doesn't make you good at it. I usually don't die most of the round as a rifleman.

If you have a scope, you should never die. Period.
If you die, you screwed up.
If your whole squad dies, your SL screwed up.
If you can't respawn, its because you, your SL, and your squad all managed to screw up at the same time.

This is why I find that the best pilots are just as good at infantry, because they are careful, and don't die. I fact, not dying is such a strongly ingrained concept for experienced pilots that it eventually translates to every other role they choose. I basically regard rally points as superfluous now, because it really isn't hard to choose when and where you encounter the enemy, as 90% of the time, its under 300m from a flag.

I slightly disagree. I probably can, and have done before, survive a whole round of Jabal as transport pilot with 0 deaths, or very few on kashan.

But in infantry, I lose most of my 1 to 1 fights. Maybe to do with ping, also not being careful enough, **** shot, who knows. But I know I do alot better flying than I do infantry.

I'm making a generalization.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
