Ok that makes more sense.Morphene wrote:I meant to say semi auto in the end there, sorry for the confusion.
And ALL, I mean ALL soldiers are taught to fire on semi auto, for the reasons I described.

One interesting thing I found when googling around (I know, more armchair commando stuff here) was that its said that worn camo is better cause its less defined and also stained with the colours of the region its being used in. But in contrast to that, while worn ACU would seem to be better than brand new, its said that the lifespan of an ACU uniform is meant to be only 6 months. So by the time it gets worn in its worn out?fludblud wrote:as much as i love strykers, kiowas and M4s...
ACU = EEEUUGGGHHHHHHH!!!!
MARPAT, CADPAT, even the PLA's Type 07 are all far better examples of digital camoflage that can blend in environments that consist of something other than moss covered marble.
why cant the army just suck up and buy the liscensing for multicam instead?
Just throwing that out there for the real experts to answer.

Yay, more star wars-themed moderation! Okita, learns fast does he!
Ahem.
Back on topic - anyone else think the next logical step in the devolution of the US Army from the US Marine Corps in-game is to include the Boy Scouts of America?

Nah, we need the coast guard. Along with a new drug runners faction.
I want to stand on the bow of a speed boat in an Armani jacket with rolled up sleeves firing an Uzi from the hip at some guys with Steyr AUGs. Though I think they may have started using armashite variants again now...

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Actually, that would be pretty cool... Civillian class replaced by "Tart"?

Im not even sure why this thread was made, you could simply look up the Army on wiki or something. Besides, it only took like one post to tell the basics, Stryker, [Bradley?], Humvee, ACU, m4...

What is the deal with The British army and Marines? The British army is from England and Marines are sf troops from US Army.

I think he was talking about differences between british army and ROYAL marines, easy mistake, no need for the insults, especially considering the number of ppl here who speak english as their second language...geeeezat1as wrote:omg are you a stupid or just pretending to be one?
