I so can't wait to fly this beast. *drools*
Tonight was making me drool even more, at Union training a rescue chopper, 2 chinooks, and a flight of 4 Caribous flew over at low level at semi-dusk. If only I had a camera. The training field is only a few K's away from the RAAF base and we certainly get a load of military aircraft. I think there must be more night training going on cause for the last few weeks a hell of a lot of military aircraft have been flying over.

Dude, they wont replace the seaknight with a osprey, the seaknight is a helicopter built mainly for transpot in hot zones, its small(for its passenger capicity), and trustworty, also it can maneuver into small blocks in urban danger zones to either evac or dropoff troops where as the osprey is a big bulky tiltrotor aircraft that is mainly used to drop supplys off or in some cases preform HALO(High Altitude-Low Opening)jumpsMarineSeaknight wrote:Sadly, *sniff*, the Sea Knight is slated to be replaced by the V-22 Osprey/Flying Coffin.
Model it yourself then, Delta. The DEV team uses their resources to the highest extent, working on things that contribute most to the game and gameplay.

You get bounced around and die most cases. Thats how the pilot get kicked for tks and then the whole chopper crashes killing the rest.Enderjmu wrote:But can't you drop the door and have a bunch of people crawl in? I wonder if you could do that... carry even more people...
Is it impossible to have people do that? do you just automatically die? I know you can't ride on a tank, but still... if you have something blocking from behind...

"OK SIR, LIFT OFF WE HAVE A FULL LOAD.
ROGER THAT!
**CLINK; BAM; SMACK; BOOM**
TECHNICAL AT...! *CRASH*"
"Oh look everyone, 1/3 of our teams dead

Joking aside, I can not wait to see this beast in action. Crossing Fingers for .8

I knew that :/MarineSeaknight wrote:The US Marines use the CH-46 Sea Knight. Smaller than the Chinook, with some very distinct qualities:
note that the Seaknight only has one forward landing gear, as opposed to the Chinook's two.
Wikipedia - CH-46 Sea Knight
To my knowledge, a Seaknight isn't likely to be made for PR as creating a Chinook would give a helo to more than one faction, with some minor changes of course.
@billdan
The US Army also uses the Chinook, so I'd imagine it would be inlcuded for them too, if we could find an appropriate map for it.
Just making sure Army was getting it for 0.8 or..... next next realease.
