i think that some more ultra close quarters would be cool, like i love fighting in tunnels on kongreai(?) valley and in the hospital on (faulajala or somthing) west, i think there should be like a map where a controll point or somthing is in a huge complex like an office building or somthing.

I dont know much about what the engine is capable of or this may already be implemented and ive never noticed but why not some pill boxes at base entrances like underground bunker type places you can defend from.

i think a map that is a mix of urban city and outlying wetland marsh type terrain. big wide open map with lots of foliage. some areas dry and some really wet. make it so there are two roads from main to the city but make it so if u go off the road theres wetland. i would like an insurgent map like that... it may not be realistic but it would be sweet. i dont know if its possible but make a city in the middle for urban combat. hard to explain but i have it all thought out.... id make it so the 1 road had the ambush of marsh. and the other had a small village it goes through. so u could choose which way u get ambushed :) miz well have lav support and since it sounds as though it favors insurgents. for that i'd add an apache muahahaha.

1.Lack of ambient sounds, i'd like to hear alot more gunfire and mortars on the background

2.Maps dont have enough destroyed buildings or war ruined stuff that would raise the feeling

3.More amibious maps just like barracuda, theres just something awesome on the feeling when u land whit tens of more people on a beach whit explosions and tracers flying around you.

Why not? Seems a waist to be selfish and not include it in?

Meh. Pointless trying to argue with it madhouse. hey, I have a better idea, lets lock our maps to bigD servers! What a fantastic and community-oriented idea!

My point of view is that eventually it will start a trend of "My server has this exclusive map come play on it!". All it will do in the long run is divide and destroy the wider community. If that's the direction PR wants to head in...then so be it.

Madhouse, the situation is complicated, while I'd love Space to release his map to teh wider community its hit map and therefore his choice.

If bigD had a mapper who wanted to only have the map on BigD servers as a selling point, that would be ok imo - its his property.

I would like to see objectives of strategic importance.
When Taliban captures the hill fortress on Korengal, US vehicles don't spawn. That's a very good idea, which I think should be expanded on maps where such a modification might be appropriate. The objects of strategic importance could be either cappable as flags or uncappable and their only value would be in access to extra weapons, supplies or stationary weapons.

Depot on the map that spawns valuable kits and / or has universal supply crates.

Repair station on the map that can be used either by one of the sides or both (maybe the insurgents could repair their cars on a gas station somewhere in the city. US know where the gas station is and it's their decision if they want to kill incoming insurgents or try to follow them hoping they'll lead them to a cache.)

Flags on the map that can be capped in order to restrict the other side from getting certain kind of vehicle. Supply line was cut? No supply trucks.

Observation point flag on the map that can be capped in order to get shorter reload time for artillery / mortars.

These objectives could be time limited as well = Let's say that a US convoy was ambushed. This convoy spawns few american kits, is made of static destroyed trucks, maybe 1 or 2 useable humvees and a diabled (turret + tracks) tank or APC. Americans can spawn on the convoy location for 1 minute after the beginning of the round or as long as the spawn point is not overrun. They need an engineer kit to blow up the supplies completely and / or repair the APC / tank but first an engineer or support truck has to reach their position through hostile territory. Insurgents get multiple spawn points around the convoy as well as along the path the engineers might have to go through. This convoy ambush then leads to a large scale operation in the city in order to find weapon caches. (Just thought it might be a nice beginning of the round).

Of course, there are many more ways of how could this be implemented but I don't have time to write them all.
