Heh, the CP one is done as well, just Qwai has none. I'm going to edit OGT for that later. Pride is such a noob <3 :p that he flipped the flags upside down at first, lol.

Ugh, changing minimap flags because they're not at the topleft of the dot :p

Anyway, I'm changing the name of the army, etc. It's in a very beginning stage.

Any mappers who want a savanna feel , for some areas of the african maps, go

I know Bf2142 has alot of africa trees.. but we aren't allowed to touch that are we ??

For the congo rainforest

Changing what :p ?

Anyway, I'm going to contact EoD to see what trees they have, then I'll spank the mappers to get it done

Oh, and Anxiety, that looks great. The sky is not quite correct though, more rain like (no actual rain).

But meh, its not for congo :(
Yeh, its supposed to be beachy, since its an island. But still working on all that good stuff.

Don't want to hijack this, but I just wanted to represent that bushes like mine should be used, and after some good touch ups on the light properties side the bushes will look great.

i really don't think there should be any vehicles for any form of African forces unless its South Africa... I mean most of those nations are all renting or borrowing crew/equipment form other countries. Not to mention the fact that they are a conscript army...

Id love to have an OPFOR thats different from the rest, but maybe there needs to be a new game play mode, or different structure to them?

PS: UK has a large base/training ground in Kenya right in the rift valley, Gurkha's and other units go there for Desert training i think.

New kits, with AK101 being a AK74 placeholder, and AK47 a placeholder for the AKS.

A majority of their maps will probably feature battles in dense jungle. Jungle warfare = no heavy vehicles.

Btw, please make sure the famous Congo river is featured on at least one of the maps. I'm a big fan of Conrads "Heart of Darkness".

Ah! I'll PM you in a week Z :D Thanks :)

Anyway, here are the screenies I promised:

Spawn Screen - Note the names of the army and kits

Image

Engineer kit - Note that there are no explosives

Image

Guerilla kit - Explosive man

Image

Medic - Note that there are no defibs, and that the CP flag doesn't work. (The floaty ones aren't changed yet, dunno about the CP Flag)

If the engineer dosnt have explosives then he isnt that special. Only real thing that makes him an "engineer" is the wrench.. perhaps give that class a new name? just a thought.

Technion??
I'd recommend removing the C4 from Guerrilla kit and just giving him extra Mines to encourage more ambush type and less suicidal play.
Also again I'd recommend not using AK74 as main weapon, and coming up with something original, perhaps a sudden discovery in Congo discovered a vast reserve of oil & the government took control of it to fund its new army upgrade program to use HK417?? :)

Yeah, something like Technician will do :D Maybe Mechanic :p

We might stick with Engineer, because I already removed the 'Combat' in Combat Engineer.

Geurilla doesn't quite fit, to my mind - you're talking about a conventional army rather than guerilla fighters, no?
