I personally like the G3(the SG1 version the most), because of the fact that two shots will take out a target. Granted, it has a lot more recoil, but if you learn how to control it you can put shot after shot at a target(which I find better than staring at them for 4 seconds )

And you can point it about stomach high and when you walk around a corner(or if you know someone's around the corner, put the fire on before you go around it) and walk the shots up the body. I've had the most problems taking out dolphin divers with the G3 since they can be small target to control the recoil on.

The G3SG1 is made of win.

All the benefit of a DMR with Full auto for closer encounters.

M82 with the Uzi's on Al-Basrah,but not on Kashan.
Militia SL's SVD was really good too.
G3 in ~ 0.6 - 0.7 (or so,before it got "messed" up and then a patch came out to "fix it") was deadly,never needed more then 1 shot from a good position. It's still good now - just "feels" different somehow.

The G3SG1 isn't supposed to be fully automatic though afaik. At least it isn't in real life I'm pretty sure.

@Topic: MP5 is most fun. HK51 is very effective. G3's rule anyway. L85 are pretty good at everything. The chinese guns feel too toyish and the M16 is rather boring. M4 still rocks though. AK's are rather boring too. PPsh (sp?) rules too. So does the Skorpion. And the pistols, especially suppressed.

For CQC, I'd chose the MP5.
For long ranges G3 series, especially SG1.
For low-medium M4 or HK51.
For medium-long the SA-80.
For very long ranges, any sniper rifle - there is no real difference imo.
For stealth, the 92FS or the chinese pistol, both with suppressor. MR-444 I can't aim with.

Overall, in most situations scoped L85 or scoped G3 will work best, depending on map (open terrain: G3, city/forest: L85)

SVD Dragunov automatic sniper rifle <3

British LSW for Basrah, no doubts
MEC SF Gun (I forget its name) for maps like Muttrah in CQB
US Army SF M4 full-auto for maps such as Ramiel, its a beast against the arabs as they run to defend their precious caches.

The L85 Iron Sights is definatly the best for CQB as the scope-time on the regular SUSAT is a joke if your in a hurry

Grenadelauncher when we had the old sights. But now it's the M16 aimpoint.

Pistol: M9 pistol (US/UK) - best sights

Submachine gun: PPSh-41 (Militia) - 70 round drum magazine!

Carbine: HK53 (MEC) - the best of rifles and SMGs in one weapon, insane in CQC!

Assault rifle: AK-101 (Militia) - accurate and easy to control in full-auto

Battle rifle: G3A3 (MEC) - high damage and very accruate

Designated marksman rifle: QBU-88 (PLA) - can fire rapidly and have nice sights

Light machine gun: HK21 (MEC) - three different firemodes, very useful

Sniper rifle: L96A1 (PLA) - Ugly vBF2-model, but still the by far best sniper rifle in game. Sights are easy to use even on extreme long ranges and the mag apparently carries much more bullets than on other rifles.

Anti-tank weapons: RPG-7 (Insurgents, Miltia) - not much else except the sights is different from other weapons in the same class. Sights are the best on any anti-tank weapon in the game, though.

L85 is simply the best in PR
M4 aimpoint is very good in PR
QBZ95 is good in PR
G3 is okay in PR(for the moment)
SKS is usefull but not good
AK47 sucks!

Tank Shells, Brownings, and Gau-8
To be honest I can't hit a single thing with the majority of guns in PR. I often see the bullets hit my target but the target never falls before I do. (this happens excessively with the L85)

maybe you need the hitfixer if it's still legal

anyone likes the Militia's SF weapon (forget the name -bizon ?)

Bizon yes,PP-19 Bizon (Bison), Its awesome, and the PPSH but IMHO: the QBZ
