Kind of like 1 guy can mess it up for his team and crash the cobra on muttrah or drive the btr into a no go zone/ambush.
That's different though. If you mess up with the Cobra, you still have a way to inflict massive damage on the enemy such as with the apc, infantry squads, JDAMs, etc.
If one guy messes up with the Big Red, you don't have anything else to fall back on to take out the tank. IEDs maybe, but since Basrah is so open, they are pretty useless since there are no chokeholds. Sure, lay an IED on the main road, but anyone who even goes down the mainroad is asking for it or is willing to take the chance.
There is no checks and balances on Basrah for the insurgents. They either have IEDs to take out the tank which I believe doesn't even take it out in 1shot, and 1 Big Red. I am looking forward to the new IEDs, but Basrah doesn't have the narry alleys or chokepoints for them to be effective on like Ramiel and Korengal. I would be for the Challenger if the Insurgents had the option of hiding in the city and if the city/villages were larger, but sadly the map has become outdated with the patches, so hiding in the city/villages isn't that effective as they are pretty transparent (not very dense).
That way, the insurgents would be forced to fall back into the heart of the city/villages when the challenger comes, giving them an ambushing advantage. As it is now though, even if they fall back, they gain nothing, especially if a cache spawns out in a field.
Besides, with the tank gone, the British still have an APC and Schmitar.
