Played BF pirates on this map on a LAN last week! was a blast! hoping that there will be an patch for this mod, it deserves better

lol, sounds like someone leaked the PR CON 2011 build

Glad you had fun, did you get any CTDs? We had quite a few at the PR CON

Hopefully the BFP2 team will get there act together and release the final version but tbh I doubt its going to happen

Perhaps he played the official Pirates, not the PR CON build - and you don't get many CTD's playing Pirates, normally .

I haven't released the map other than a really early version without GPOs etc or with the PR CON 2011 build.

Any plans on releasing the newest version?

Not without yarr 2.5 no but possibly some time in the future I might release a full version for yarr 2.1 but too busy to consider anything like that now.

This map was made for BFP2's "yaar 2.5" release but BFP2 with a whole load of maps made for that version by other mappers in a mapping contest they set up, but the mod basically died before then so it never got released

As I said above I could make a standalone release for "yaar 2.1" but no one really plays BFP2 now so no real point as it would take quite a bit of work to do and things like the CTF mode would be broken etc.

Such a shame that the mod went dead this way before 2.5 came out. I loved it

I actually had planned an event back in the day. Even had permission of the PRBF2 devs to modify and republish some stuff. But RL took over and still does to this day. I dont have plans of hosting anything in the future.
