Correct me if I'm wrong, as I've never owned any of the BF2 expansions such as Special Forces, Euro Force and Armored Fury. But if I recall correctly isn't there a standard BF2 Mi-24 Hind roaming about already? I swore I saw it several times.

THere is one, but they treat it as a completely balanced attack chopper, whithout troop carrying capabilities, inside models, and what not.

I haven't played SF in a while, though, so I can't remember how good/bad the model was aside from that.

and the model is a "creative" repoduction to say the least.

I want Mil Mi-24 Hind(it can Transporter lot of people and have very strong armor). KA-52 is 2-seater. Problem is gonne.

Does the KA-50 even have an export version?

I doubt that the Russians would sell it at all.

Not to mention the Russians don't even have a map with a chopper in it at the moment.\

Therefore, until a Russian map with a chopper is developed, this idea is void.

It does, Ka-50-2 Erdogan was made for export(to take part in Turkish tender for attack helicopter), it was 2-seater heli with Israel's avionics

Well there you go, we can have ANOTHER 2 seater attack chopper which pretty much isn't worth the effort when the Hind and Havoc are already in game.

Hind isn't ingame (as of yet). I don't see why diversity is a bad thing. It's like saying we can have ANOTHER APC variant, or ANOTHER AK gun, or ANOTHER faction, or what ever.

In essence, they all are APCs, guns, or playable factions, with slight variations. but are they not worth it? Of course they are. So why not extend that to everything?

Russia desperately needs an air force. It simply isn't the same without it. And it shouldn't be using the exact same vehicles as the MEC. Russia needs some of it's defining assets, something to help differentiate it from the generic faction that is the MEC.

A small gun is not a lot of work compared to a huge vehicle in PR. Many, many times the amount of detail has to go into a new vehicle to make it PR worthy. If Russia ever gets a full fledged combined arms map then they might be of use, and worth the effort. Until then there are many many more areas of PR that deserve priority more so than a fancy new helicopter.

and what's that "many more areas"?? and who will make an air map if there is no vehicles for it? there are already some new maps for ru forces at WIP stage, so why not make assets for them? or you want tonns of community factions but all of them unfinished, w\o assets or with placeholders?

As much as I love the KA-50/52, there's less than 20 of each right now, so I think the Hind would be a much better choice for either faction.

LoL lots of the PR helis are Dice helis and every mod normal makes more detail models and lots of vehicles you can see in PR are from USI. So there cant be such a difference
But i think if PR gets a Hind we will get the OPK one

correct me if i am wrong but the MI-35 can be used to transport too right?

maybe, i just seen it imported at al kufrah and it didnt look very good, at least as i can remember

well the one in OPK has a very speciall loadout and some other things that are not so common, while the one in USI is more like a standard hind-d as we would expect it for MEC and Russians
