Does this tab come up if you don't have a G-15 installed ? (nvm I tried it with vanilla mumble ... it doesn't)
I'll try and see if I can get it working, but its literally going to be trial and error ... and I can't even try it out here (and no ... I aint gonna buy a g-15 ... ).
PS. Can you give me a screenshot of what the LCD tab looks like ? I might be able to figure some stuff out from the names of the labels and then searching through the code.
Also, is the mumble code hard to work with? I had a quick peruse of it when it was first getting hyped and seemed rather convoluted, but I've done some C projects (I recall it was in C???) and some other stuff so if you were really having issues I could look into it

Its in C++, and its hard to work with in the sense that the code is not documented or commented at all. So you pretty much have to work it out for yourself through trial and error and tracing/breakpointing things.
Other than that, it is reasonably laid out in terms of architecture, the mumble code itself is quite lightweight, but you need to download a lot of libraries as a base for it. Its probably easier programming it on linux and there is even a linux version that has the mumble library as part of the distribution (its a debian version I think) ... however thats not a great deal of help if you are compiling it for windows.
If you did want to have a look at how the G15 thing fits into it all and work it out that would be great ! PM me if you need any help on getting the development environment set up, as it is quite tricky.

Aha i have to install a different mumble for PR?
That's... weird. Oh well I'm installing it now, i hope it doesn't interfere with my regular mumble.

What does bloom do?

I think bloom increases the volume of a transmission if you are within the minimum distance of the source. Its very useful for when you are talking to people in the same vehicle

Awesome. I was having trouble hearing people in the heli and such, I think I pissed them off when I asked them to type out where they wanted to go cause of the noise. XD
I found the regular volume controller too, thought that one was locked but it wasn't. Things should be working better now.

I actually think that minimum distance should be increased by 1m or 2m to ensure there are no problems for intra vehicle communication.

hey that might be a bump question, but
where should you be when not SL, i mean a normal soldier, which channel should he/she be?
should i use push to talk or local speech in game?
should only the SL be in the SL channel?

"should i use push to talk or local speech in game?"
by push to talk, to you mean bf2 ingame VoIp ? if so, bf2 ingame voip should still be used 90% of the time. only use mumble to talk to other squads squad members when near by, for talking to your squad ALWAYS (unless crewing a tank, to keep coms clear) use bf2 VoIP. mumble is not (yet) a replacement for bf2 voip.
SL channel is indeed for SL's but its also good to have pilots in there as well, and APC drivers.

Zoddom, try running pbsetup.exe
Did you restart bf2 after turning off the overlay? if you turned off the overlay with bf2 still up, the script it uses is still active and detected by pb

Do you use Fraps? There was a Fraps version causing issues like that a few weeks ago. Just update it if you do.

with the old mumble i found it annoying when people talked in the open room channel. how do i turn that off so i only receive location based voice chat?
edit: nevermind. i dunno what i thought.
but now it randomly disconnects. after like 30 seconds in a room, and then reconnects to the pr channel.

Hi, just a little question:
Where can I ask to open a channel in PR Official Mumble Server for our server ?

I suspect you will need the account that is ur server administrator to post in the server admin section of the forums
