I'd have to agree tbh, but I love the look of this map as well.flem615 wrote:looks great! i cant wait for some more british maps. but i must say i like the brits in the desert better. but this is still great!
Well, that's what these "new cities" of the Soviet Union looked like. If they had a factory or whatever in a remote area of the country they just built a huge amount of similar apartment buildings close by so that the workers would have somewhere to live. Not like the city we westerners are used to, cities that build themselves over time, where every building is unique.Dr2B Rudd wrote:My only problem that I can see is the city is just
THIS IS CITY < > THIS IS FOREST
there's no smaller buildings between the Forest and city.
exactly that was the idea.. I based the city off quite a few refs and the initial road plan was actually grozny.. very modified and simplififed of course...STORM-Mama wrote:Well, that's what these "new cities" of the Soviet Union looked like. no idea yet be looking at an asset heavy layer with the militia entrenched in the city with few assets but lots of access to arms...Dr2B Rudd wrote:I'd have to agree tbh, but I love the look of this map as well.
I was wondering, what are you gonna do Layer wise?
I assume 16, infantry, 64 full assets....32?
You should put an aircraft carrier on the map, it would wtfsurprise the milita for sure.[R-DEV]IronTaxi wrote:no idea yet be looking at an asset heavy layer with the militia entrenched in the city with few assets but lots of access to arms...
bulldog would be pretty cool, or a cougar varient. But I expect there will be alot of new content for all teams in PR .9Blade.3510 wrote:Question! can we expect to see a new class of apc for the brits seeing as they currently have 2 classes

I see. Grozny, together with Pripyat, is one of the most famous examples of this kind of functionalistic way of planning and building cities. Judging from the pictures, you've done a great work of transferring the looks and atmosphere of those Soviet cities to PR! If someone says that the look of the map feels dull or boring and that the architecture is repetive you should think of it as a compliment, because that's what these towns feel like.[R-DEV]IronTaxi wrote:exactly that was the idea.. By the way, the fact that the map is based on Grozny is yet another argument for having Ivan and his tanks featured on the map.But it's your map, you decide.
