Yes, I would like to see more caged models of logistic trucks and APCs like the Stryker and Scimitar. If the cage cannot be utilized like it is in real life I think the damage reduction would be a welcome bonus to simulate real life.

Also, what I do not understand is why transport vehicles have no type of concealment like other people mentioned and why BLUFOR are not using armored troop transports.

For example, in the Marines we use an MTVR or what we nicknamed it "Armadillo". It is a 7-ton fitted with thick armored panels and a "V" shaped chassis to funnel explosions to the sides and away from the vehicle instead of the explosion shooting straight up into the vehicle.

Also, almost every vehicle in the US Military has a turret on it. Logistic and troop transports desperately need up-guns on them in my opinion.

Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement(MTVR)

There she is! My pretty little MTVR, that'd be her Silly Savage.

So you see my point, armored transports are pretty common these days with IEDs being such a big deal.

What is the point of bullet-proof cage when you still can not shoot through the boxes on the vehicles.

Cage is to help prevent an RPG from exploding or making the RPG explode prematurely so it does not impact the vehicle directly, degrading the shape charges ability to do its job.

Bar armour is designed to protect the crew only. Vehicles and loads can be replaced, people take a little longer.

The model just needs the Protected Weapon Station and GPMG fitting now!!!

Awesome looking model. Pretty ugly vehicle though :p

I hope the cage works, but there were some issues with them earlier, no? Or atleast on the Scimitar.

Looks very cool, but the slat armor seems to close to the vehicle. If that's already been brought up, pardon me - didn't read the entire thread.

does the cage on the cab actually work , or is it just looks/show... my farther was a combat engineer , apparently when they were equipped on the strykers they would catch the war heads of rpgs , or det harmlessly .

i wouldnet think so.. not for that anyway.. i can understand the use in rl, to protect the engian and the driver, but becuase this is a game the rpg would hit the mesh of the cage and explode like anything else... but im not sure.... and i think im using the right words=P
