I dont want to talk about moral parts but its true that for every commanding officer is a very big decision when has to protect his men in situations where unarmed people have intentionaly or not the role of human shield.
So maybe they are not all of them insurgents....

For a jet pilot is very difficult to know what his target is.
(And its somehow intentional so the pilot doesn't have moral problems. They told him they are insurgents. After all an F-18 is not created to do gun strafes to insurgents. Its sights can distinct very good the targets for which has been created.)

So better to have the work done by helicopters.
The pilots are satisfied.
Ground troops are supported.
"Aces"....well i really dont care

Elektro wrote:Nemus you have allways had something against jets lol .. CAS planes would make insurgency rock, you spot the cache call in the airstrike and the BOOM cache is gone :) Maybe you should make it 15 caches if there are jets on the map

First, why all you the jet lovers keep asking for CA's jets but none of you asks for CA's AAs?
Except Alex and CAS_117 of course. They created it and they know how unbalanced will be without AAs.
(A little tip. If you want the CA's jets having in mind how cool and umber they will be, better forget it. CA has been created for tactical minds. Not for Tom Cruise's funs.)

Second. I have nothing against planes. My first simulator was "Mosquito" for SPECTRUM 128k and I spent countless hours to create features for a known "mod" of Falcon 4.0.
I love jets. Specially F-16. But i don't love it only when i press the pickle button.
That's my difference with many "Aces" in here.

And finally what exactly we will give to insurgents against jets?
I don't think that a turkey shot will be very fun for the turkey.
And that's an other difference between me and the "Aces". They don't care if they have no challenge at all or if their opponent can't shoot them back for a fair fight. They just love to press the pickle button and see an explosion...

Well of course we need to improve the AA. AAVs should get radar, MANPADs should be good against helos, just like they are in reality.

Importing CA's aircraft mechanics and CA's anti air mechanics would be a huge leap forward.

And for INS maps the max should be helos. Jets could work, but the price of shooting civilians should be a lot higher.
