Don't worry, there'll be plenty of cover for infantry.

The 4km maps we have in PR so far are great. But honestly, this is more like it.
Thanks for this man, I am greatly anticipating it.

I'm very pleased to see the increase in detail whether it's statics (proper villages, bases, even cities) or the terrain (seen the canyons on Iron Eagle?). It should make them far more infantry friendly and consistently fun to play.
The two 4km maps we have are better than nothing, but by today's standard they're rough drafts. I vote for them to be moved to the retro/retired map-pack, but I may just be exceptionally fussy.

IMO Qingling and Kashan both have their purpose, where qingling is fun to dogfight in the terrain is horrible for armour, so i consider it a air vs air only map.
Kashan was made for large armour formations, for Uruzgan when its finnished its going to be a insurgency map so people will be hunting caches.
We must look into balancing it so it wont be that everyone is camping for the Apache to spawn, i figure we put in 1 x apache, 1 x F-16, 2 x Chinooks and maybe 1 x Cougar if its finnished.
For the rest its a APC's Jeep and trucks to get around the map
If the taliban controls the bridges, they control half the map, only insertions by helicopter are possible for the souther part, if you put a good spread of mobile and stationary AA guns there + give them a couple of SA-7's i would say the Dutch wont have it easy.

First of all good job, i'm looking forward to playing this and sangin in the future. But the size of the map has me concerned, in a map such as archer which is 2km half the size of this map, it can be sometimes hard to search the whole map. I think it'll be a bigger issue with a 4km map, have you thought about this and if so what's the plan, adding more vehicle, shorting vehicle spawn time or something else?

Actually 4*4km is 4 times bigger than 2*2km (you can test it with some square pieces of paper:smile

So its gonna be 4 times harder to find caches, compared to Archer. But its really hard to compare until we see the final map/vehicles. Things like how the terrain is etc. will matter as to how hard/easy it willl be.

Yuppers, the map looks great!
And Yuppers again,
Moby - Natural Blues
Moby - Flower
Glad you guys like the music choice
Future trailer teaser things which we are planning will also probably feature Moby.
It's awesome to fly an Apache in this map, and blow up some stuff on the way
And guys, don't worry about an "overkill F-16". If it's not being used correctly on this map, she will be gone before you can say "Allahu Akbar!".
Although if she has an FAC team (Fennek?) then she is pure havok on the Battlefield
