Some progress: We've got all the commander, squad leader and grunt voices translated from english to finnish, and now we're looking for a place and people to record them.
Also heres a little picture of some of the other stuff we've done Enjoy.



Woodland camo: Me.
Snow camo: Me.
Desert camo: Splatteri.
Dropkits: Me.

The trollface on the desert camo is just temporary It's not final and will be edited to make the pattern smalled etc.

Looks good, but imo the woodland camo has a bit too much of slimy jungle look to it, I suggest having dark green as the background of it with light green and brown spots.
Somewhat like in this picture.

That looks very nice !! =) Was someone making RK95?

Well, I was / I am kinda hoping that someone with a little bit more experience in weapon modelling could help with that. Although i did start to model it today, got some of it done atm. But still would like someone with more experience to help out. I'm sure i can do it in some time, but still.

I would like to see and probably get a hold on the statics you are making.

Perhaps the Galil model could be used as a placeholder for the RK 95. Just make it darker and remodel the magazine.

Any news on this project or am i getting my hopes up too early? Is this ever going to work? There are quite a lot of finns.

We are making some progress. We'll publish more information when we feel it's time for it.

People with experience of modeling, texturing or coding (especially Python) or modding in general (vBF2, PR) are warmly welcomed to join us. ATM we have a bunch of "newbies" learning the basics, but one ready to learn and train hard will be given a chance to show one's abilities.

I know this has been discussed earlier in the thread and your working on the fraction, but I just had to give my two cents here. I am highly against Finland being a opposing force in any way shape or form. Its just highly unrealistic even in fiction. As a smaller European country opposing anyone would just within 10-20 years would be really unlike them in their political situation now, being in the EU they did anything the world other than defend themselves against an aggressor, NATO you name it would reprimand them so badly its not even funny. In PR I am honestly against Russia being a opforce at this point but its a little more reasonable because of their history of some aggression and dominance(cold war etc). That's not saying Russia is bad or will be in the near future or ever, but just saying a point Finland is about as innocent as anyone at this point in time.

I say make Finland a bluefor, even though we have so many now the work is already in progress and you seem so intent on it so who am i to discredit that. Who knows in the future of PR BF2 we may have a few other opfor fractions in game that would be more realistic for Finland to fight. The idea though of Finland being a opfor is just stupid and rediculous to me.

lol the idea of chinese vs russia, britain or even the US is not just unlikely but virtually impossible due to mingling interests on the fiscal scale. furthermore, germany/canada/US/israel vs russia(in beirut and siberia among others!) is extremely unlikely as well, the existence of the mec is not going to happen any time soon as well. my point is: project reality is about realistic gameplay and assets, good maps that encourage teamwork and promote the use of tactics, where this happens or who are the comabatants hardly matters.

if the finns agree on being a militaristic, totalitarist and megalomane rightwing state, let them be, it's a scenario that can prove to be very interesting

Huh? No, they're not. We use Finnish made RK-62's and RK-95's.

Type 56 has been and in very small scale is still used. Here in Finland it has been renamed as RK 56 TP. It's far from standard issue though. Those weapons are just rusting in the warehouses.

Nope that's not m/62, it's m/91. But you are right its being phased out. Latest is m/05 and here's the picture of it.
