Each map seems to contain a set of four pictures, with each picture showing off a different part of the map being shown. I'll try and name all the maps, giving references for each.

Why is OGT going? I never heard any complaints regarding that map, and it's very intense where the PLA and brits have an equal chance of winning.

Also, I can't wait to do some airdrops on the russians and kick ***. (Hoping they dont have mobile AA and shred the paratroopers into thin red paste-clouds)

Wow, I had ni idea so many new maps where in 0.9. Great work all of you who have contributed some how. I like how the DEV team always has a few cards up their sleeves.

I am sad to see EJOD and Ghost train go if the rumors saying so are true. The filesize really only matters if you are on a five year old laptop, and that is probably less than a percent or so of PR population. The rest of us can just delete som porn movies to keep the best maps 8) .

I dont care for the other old maps as most of them are/were outdated, but OGT (and maybe Ejod too) is/was NOT - nothing is wrong with it. Its a fantastic, awesome Brit vs PLA JUNGLE MAP, a map-type we dont have much of.

Put OGT back in before v0.9 Final, please! ;) :D

When another retro map pack is released you will be able to play OGT again.

I think it is a great map as well (very atmospheric and unique) but I've played it enough over the last 3 years.

I don't think a lack of hard drive space is an issue for many, however some do not have fast Internet connections or large bandwidth quotas. So it's always best to minimize the file size where possible, in this case separating old maps into an optional package to compensate for new maps and content.

We have to remove maps for a few reasons, the main one however being that we are limited to a 2GB installer, and we just can't fit them all in. I dunno if it's just me, but I'd rather new maps than old maps.

However, we plan on releasing a 2nd levels installer shortly after v0.9 with a lot of the old maps in them (not just the cut maps from v0.874, but even older maps), set up with the skirmish game mode (and maybe coop?). But it's not really the priority at the moment, so I can't really say anything more.

Indeed. You know that map inside out by know, same goes for most of the older maps that were taken out. Gameplay gets boring when you play the same old tactics over and over again... New maps are needed, and if that means that weƤll have to say good bye to some of the old goodies... than so be it. It's worth it.
