I like the extra long rounds, i have played many a 4+hour rounds in pub games, and many a 10- min pub games XD
I enjoy the stalemates, as long as one team tries to push... if nothing else, i try to move faward after 20 min of no action. There are so many games, that the team might be un-organized at first, but pull themselfes togeather after the first hour or 2, it becomes a great round XD

I think they are a little too long. I usually only get to play one whole round in a 4 hour session, so I haven't even tried out all the new maps yet. I don't have enough time.

I don't support reducing the tickets, but I do think that PR supports games going too long when one team clearly deserves to lose.
I would like to see mechanisms for retaining long rounds between evenly matched teams who are playing at a high tempo, but reducing the length of games where one team is substantially better, because at the moment, maneuvre just isn't important enough.

I enjoy long rounds on maps with two regular factions.
I can't stand long rounds on insurgent maps where it's about destroying caches. It's often just a drag...

long rounds + conventional forces = long epic battles where the underdog with one flag left might be able to make a full comeback at the slightest mistake of the enemy.
in any version so far, the best rounds i've had were when about 2/3rds of the game was done and my team is down to the last obj. with a quick type in team chat to rally the other SLs and the moment i saw a single opening in the enemy line, we'd crash forward in a hot blooded infantry charge obliterating the enemy and in an unstoppable wave, take complete control over the battlefield with victory in our hands!

4km 64-layer is perfect.
4km 16-layer with the same amount of tickets takes too long.
Then there's stuff in between.

The longer the rounds the better, I usually crash when I load up a new map after just playing one, so its a win win for me!

Yep!!! An hour to a hour and a half is plenty. There are lots of maps for PR, and they ALL should be able to be enjoyed. 2 and 3 hours on a single map is toooo long.
After all, this is supposed to a "GAME" right? I mean honestly, no one seems to be TRULY interested in "realism", so why take all day to play one freakin map? ARMA II has maps that take hours & hours to play.

They should be longer, i always hate it when ever a round ends... But i guess it's good as it is right now since people who would be waiting for the next map (some times haf the servers population) would get bored and leave.

it depends how good gameplay you have on when you play 2 hours round.
but i wouldnt reduce tickets,i would like to see increasing the ticket loss when you get killed.

It honestly depends on the round. If we keep getting good fights in then i'm game.

Aside from the Attack/defend problem mentioned before, I like a round that lasts ~2 hours, 2 1/2 tops. Although if one team is absolutely superior to the other, I don't have a problem with it lasting as little as 45 minutes.
A round that lasts too long, ~3hours or more, gets tiresome, physically, and thus boring and annoying. The loading time for a new map is a useful break.
Also, I don't think smaller, maybe faster paced maps should be completely phased out since this way server administrators could alternate combined arms maps that are known to last long with these shorter maps. They complement and make each other better. We get the best of both worlds: more maps per night resulting in a fresher, less dull experience, and long rounds for that deeper experience.

Depending on the map I hate long rounds usually, unless the teamwork is good. Maps like Kashan become a bore, especially if every mode of transport has been wiped out and you have locked 2 man squads patrolling the desert doing jack all.
However, sometimes its great to be able to sit down at 5pm on a Saturday with a few beers, a takeaway on order and actually look forward to some huge rounds of PR.
