I agree. There should be consistency, if the German medic can have it, the other factions who has scopes for corpsmens IRL should have it too.
But I would prefer removing G36 fom the German medic.

I think medics should have scopes if they have them in real life. So ACOGor SUSAT for L85a2 or ACOG for the m4/16.

Yeah, people seem to think a scope for the medic will make him a rifleman plus 6 bandages but remember he has no frag grenades and no extra ammo so he obviously isn't.
The way i look at it is it makes him another member of the squad who has his own unique role just as all other members of the squad have, without optics he becomes that kit your squad needs but no one wants because he cant fight with the team properly.
The only balancing needed medic wise is a random chance of dying so you dont have entire squads dying and then resurrecting vodoo style.

Medic is alot harder to play with 1.0. We had this discussion when the beta was running and medic really feels handicapped.We got lesser field dressings, no binos, longer healing time, more people screaming for medic and all of them are harder to find without health displayed or wounded marker. I just dont see the "imba" with scope, i just were happy if i got a better view on whats actually happening.
Dont make the medic to hard to play because he can revive. Because that doesnt make him OP, the one whos got revived is the one youve got to punish for being wounded, not the medic.

Yeah, as a medic, you have a lot of work to do during a match, especially when you're the only medic in a squad. This can often be some kind of boring and on top of that, when your squad is in a longer-range firefight and nobody is wounded yet, you can't take any accurate killshots, just suppress the enemy, because of his Ironsights/Red Dot. This leads to situations where nobody wants to be a medic. Some nice addition like a scope, would be very satisfactory to make the medic more attractive to people. Even I would play more as a medic then.

I looked if this was a re-suggestion and found nothing.
Perhaps a reason is that the medic ( if unexperienced player) then will
stay to far away from the frontline so he?s not possible to help the squad out ?
But that problem usually sort itself out, if its a medic
not doing he?s job he will get kicked from the squad.
I agree with you, it woudlnt hurt giving the medic som more power. its horrible being a medic in a fight at distance...haha but as kit suggests...stay the fxxx back from the fire

I think about it when I play Canadian medic.

right now he runs around patching up 5 to 7 guys. A medic who only looks after himself is actually less effective than a medic looking after a squad. If a medic goes solo because he uses the patches for himself, its the squad the medic is in that is an at disadvantage, not the enemy.

Yeah, because it's easier to clear a room with a 4x magnified optic rather than a reflex sight.
Not that offensive capabilities = clearing a 2x2 room.
I don't see any reason why the medic should be forbidden to have a magnified optic.
Offensive as in "able to engage the enemy accurately", just as good as the more combat-oriented kits such as the rifleman.
Imo, the medic really should stay out of long range firefights, and concentrate on close perimeter security and treating friendlies.

Your looking at it wrong, the Medic is part of the squad and he fights alongside everyone else and just like everyone else he has a unique ability, his ability is to heal people. look at it like this:
Squad members ability's:
-Rifleman: Carry's extra ammo and frag grenades.
-Grenider: Has grenade launcher.
-Officer: Has radio, grenades and GTLD.
-Specialist: Carry's C4, grenades and grappling hook.
-Auto rifleman: use SAW.
-Medic: Revives and heals wounded team mates.
In other words hes still part of the squads offensive ability he just has a special role like everyone else. The only thing needed for balancing is a random chance of people dying not removing the medics scope.

Won't ever happen, IIRC devs stated they do not want to employ randomness of any kind in PR.
I support the idea of giving optic to medics. If they have them in reality they should have them in PR as well, if that change will make the medic kit unbalanced it means that the problem lies elsewhere.

IMO Medic should only have his Epipins and healing bag/patches out at all times ... plus the occasional smoke grenade.

I feel that just the iron-sight / aimpoint combo is fine.
If every other player in the squad has 4x optics then how is a single player (who has the support role)
a determent? Furthermore if all 8 members had a 4x scope with no BUIS that would be a pretty big issue for CQC

Voted No to optics. It's not only a balance issue, the medic should be proactively healing and reviving squaddies, not wasting time or getting too engrossed in picking off targets at range.

Often there is no one to heal, and its not only about offensive but also defensive reasons. I dont know why why you think medic is a nurse?

same BUT I voted no for the sake of balance, I hate when people say if it is in real life it has to be in project reality. Project reality is all about balance within both teams not about literal reality.
I have no problem with medics having scopes, but I really don't want them, I mean I think I would constantly be looking for enemies with my scope than staying behind in cover ready to heal teammates

Then those should choose the ALT kit, it's not like they are bounded to the kit with 4x scope.
