Fixed. I think it would. The US primarily used 20 round mags from what I've seen. It wouldn't surprise me if the 30 rounders made an appearance some where on the battlefield during the Vietnam conflict though.

I know it wasn't entirely common place but I'd like to see a Browning Automatic Rifle thrown into the arsenal, sure they weren't used extensively but if the South Vietnamese Army is in the game I think it's a fairly good squad weapon for them.

The M14 is a must have in the game, I will be sorrily disappointed should this weapon be left on the cutting board. If we all walk around with m16a1s it would be fairly bland, I hope the PRV team is aiming to show of some of the slightly exotic weapons from the era.

Yea pretty sure some used 30 rounds but mostly of what i've seen in pictures and documentary they used the smaller mag. Also another question would the m16 jam in the game since in real life it jammed all the time?

As said before, it is impossible to get the M16 to jam with the engine etc. etc., and who would really want thier rifle to jam whilst in a firefight?

That would stray the realistic approach of pr:v to something arcadeish. Like Call of Duty, a game we generally frown upon.

The FAL wasn't used by the Ausi's, the L1A1 and L1A2 were.

The only scoped weapons should be snipers rifles. Nothing else as scope weren't issued to just any jack lad like they are now.

Hate to burst your bubble there, but I doubt, highly doubt, that the PR:V team will use these. First of all, there's no M14, which was arguably the most famous (for you people; I call it infamous) weapon of the war, and the Marines are using far too many XM177s. Those guns weren't known to be used by marines, who valued the ability to kill people over quantity of bullets. However it was a nice input.

They hadn't invented ballistic knives, and most certainly the NVA or PLA didn't use them. Also, by M240 did you mean FN MAG? Because the US Army didn't adopt a form of the gun until the 90's or something. RPG-2 and RPG-7 would be acceptable though.




By the way, the NVA and PLA had the Scoped version of the RPG as well as iron sighted.

Mk-19 wasn't mounted on helicopters, back then, and with only one exception I can think of (Colombia), still isn't. The M75 (Huey) and the later M129 (Loach and Cobra) were. I want to see this turret configuration, too, and have been trying to contact an old AH-1 pilot to see if he remembers some things about them so we can correctly implement them.
