No offence but if you never have done any modding i cant realy imagine you being a suitable leader for this mod. The leader should atleast have basic knowledge of mapping, modeling, bf2 editor/engine and importing.

If there is any bfg mapper who is willing to donate a map i am willing to take a look at it and make it to pr/fh standards

I do have knowledge of bf2editor UI and a handful of scripting languages. Model on the other hand is where I fail at since I have no artistic skill at all. Mapping is meh.

Your on a list for people I can ask. I'll wait till a week after this poll.

If BGF is really willing to give up so much content then you really do not need anything new other than maps and even then that is a long way off. Best to start by creating a 'PR' build of BGF changing the deviation and suppression etc then only when you have the basics covered start replacing content. There are a lot of people on these forums who can model and texture stuff, but its really the core build that needs sorting before any new content imo.

For all i l know you could be Vicious (inside joke from fht) and you will bail after 1-2 weeks and destroy all progress.
I would like to know more of your experience. If you dont have prior experience then you have no idea how hard it is to make a mod.

Well judging by the list we are missing some crucial stuff (the most important small arms like the Kar98 and the Mosin Nagant to name a few)
However I am wondering does the 1.1 alpha have any additional stuff not on the google doc list that we can use? (other than the stalingrad statics)

I'm not sure if the 1.1 build has more assets other than the Stalingrad statics.
It's too bad you can't use the Kar98 and such, but that's because the owner of those weapons is now a FH2 developer, so that's quite obvious

.
Perhaps the minimod should focus on tank-combat or something. From what I've heard, tank combat was quite fun in BGF.

Hmmm how about asking for the Stalingrad map itself? Even if its unfinished it could be of use.
Oh and maybe even make a 2nd list...a list of stuff we actually have and is useable (not sure if im reading that doc correctly or not but I am under the impression theres alot of stuff on that list that doesnt exist in the files...but then again I have yet to actually check the files)

They can be found on youtube, but there's not that much to be honest.

As for BF3...did you noticed all those "NOT GONNA HAPPEN" posts?
EDIT: Speaking of which...I wouldnt mind seeing an Thompson in PR
Actually Battlefield 3 is still an open question, it's not a YES or a NO yet. I may Have miss worded my self as to that it will come out.

what rock have you been hiding under for the last years?
There will be no official PR mod for bf3.
there is bf2 PR+PRV, Arma 2 PR and PR2 that is the only mods.

I support this idea. WW2 mod with PR style elements would be FTW!
FH2 is a tad too arcadish, though cool in its own. FH2 will never be more realistic, at least when some of their devs say things like:
Quote from: ***** on 30-12-2010, 14:12:59
haha who would play a FPS game that doesn't tell you who killed you, or who you killed? It would be like playing against bots.
In short: Hit + Kill indicators add excitement and depth to the game's core action, removing them will only peel away from the experience, not add anything.

How do I know if I help my team if there is no Killmessages?
What i would like to see with PR:WW2:
- All extra HUD stuff removed, so radar-map, crosshair, hit-cross, death-messages and all other arcade-junk.
- Driving tanks like in BGF mod aka. DH/RO style
- Possibly separate driver and commander/gunner positions in tanks ala DH/RO.
- Mumble 3D positional audio implemented like in PR.

I only approve official WW2 mdo for PR, not community made, because they will do it very properly with all the advisors and info...

I think you're highly underestimating the community's abilities.

Not really. Remember the Falklands mod? IRA mod? JSDF? Mexicans (oh wait... nah them too), Taiwan? All faction and mod proposals, all had quite a bit of support, none of them made it. As cool as a WWII mod would be, it's too late and unsupported. Of course you could always try, and if it works lord it over everyone who doubted you. You'd be the Mosquill of the community modding scene.

Except Mosquill probably had programming and modeling knowledge before he found PR.
