I've been learning these last few weeks how to use a sound editing program, but I have no idea yet how to make radio filters or echo as in a small compartment. I know partly how to, but I need to screw around a bit with the editor for a while longer before I find a way that works
well i think it would already elp a lot if you record those stuf totaly clean and than somebody from the PR sound team could apply filters and stuff to it

If you need more inspiration:
Norwegian Armed Forces in Afghanistan, 2006 Photo Gallery by Marcus at pbase.com
Some really good pics in there, though the gear is a bit outdated by now.

I found this docu that Kristoffer Sørli the soldier who died in 2007 made (he was asked to have a camera with him from a video team.) Norwegian only. I thought it was really good its called Soldaten or "The Soldier".

they are great pictures as inspiration but as you say they are not good ref pics, Marcus is infact operating as a sniper and special forces member and uses different gear than conventional Norwegian forces.

Judging by the 2. Bn emblem on the arms on the three soldiers in one of the pics, I'm guessing not SF.

Don't know how I could have missed this. I happen to know who this Marcus is, and I can say for sure that he is neither a "sniper" or a special forces member. However it is true that he uses different gear than other conventional Norwegian soldiers, but that is rather due to his kit-freak nature and the Norwegian army's open minded "you use what suits you the best" attitude.

Sorry i forgot a "Probably" in there, nothing bad intended... just saw his pictures and i have seen the images before where the text have strait out said taken by "a Norwegian special Forces member."
Also i saw this pic with a DMR:
http://www.pbase.com/marsuitor/image/63826069 and logic reasoning(fawlty)
led me to say i believed he was a sniper... sorry, i did not wish to confuse anyone.
my bad... i just have written it in a different way, i will watch how and what i post more carefully in the future.
if you know him you must compliment him on those pictures for me, as they are good pictures.. not just pictures of a good motive.
