the 1 kit already had it before 1.0, so it's probably the 2 kit.

1 = M60
2 = ninja

How can you watch such a movie and then make such a stupid conclusion out of it. There was clearly an aircraft that flew over the tank after Captain John H. Miller fired one of his last shots.

From Saving Private Ryan wiki:

At the end of the movie, at the battle of Ramelle, American pilots in P-51Ds supported the soldiers there by bombing the north half of the town, killing infantry soldiers and destroying the Tiger Tank, causing the Americans to win and the Germans to retreat.

Many people say that the insurgency gamemode is kinda broken right now, with longtime players knowing where all the possible spawnpoints for unknown caches are on most of the maps. Will there be any changes to insurgency? Has dbzao's public gameplay test yielded any interesting conclusions that you will be incorporating in the next version?

Would love to get some info on that in the next devcast!

Don't trust wiki, Tom Hanks was clearly using magic tank buster bullets....

Though I was uncertain in the film how the P-51D was able to provide CAS to the precision that would be the envy of a military in the 21st century :P Would have expected a nice lot of blue on blue with that one :P

As we were updating maps, I took a look at this... and honestly I'm not sure there's much we can do. The reason is that the good places are all being used, and if you play a map enough times you're going to know where those places are. I thought about moving some or adding some, but then they would either be exposed or would have some other drawback. The best solution is new maps... and we're working on that. :)

Well currently there are always 2 caches up, this means that they blufor can just hunt known spawn locations for unknowns and win the round in 30 mins.

I think the part that was the most interesting in the gameplay test that dbzao did, was removing one cache. This means no hunting for unknowns, which is currently the biggest flaw in the ins gamemode. Or maybe make it so that a second cache only spawns if the first one isn't taken out within 20 mins or anything similar, just to avoid that people hunt unknowns the whole time.

PLEASE STOP IT!

It's obvious that he knew that it was the plane, but as I posted before, he was being sarcastic, not everyone is dumb nor you are the only smart over here at the forums, stop, we don't want the thread locked, and you certainly don't want to get banned. :wink:

Anyways, any chance of 1.0 or whatever you're calling it coming out in 2013?

Highly unlikely. Mid-2015 at the earliest. Will have fastropes to compensate for development time. Probably gonna be v4.0, too.

Remember what you said "PR 1.0 will be in fact PR2, so it will take a long time until release".

When we'll see the next Devcast?

This is out of the question topic, but will you ban me if I make an accurate prediction of the next devcast release date? :-o

I've seen that movie like 30 times, I know that once Tom Hanks shoots the slit there is a P51 that comes over and destroy the Tiger, which is a T-34/85 but remade in a Tiger, noticeable in the movie. Also a .30 bullet would never have destroyed a Tiger tank by shooting in the inside since the ammo racks of a Tiger tank is not behing the driver like the PZIV and those models but on the sides of the tank and that there is a wall seperating the left ammo rack and the driver. As seen here :

Image

A .30 bullet wouldn't detonate a shell either.

But all of that is of course canceled by the fact that the tank has a glass plane blocking any entry into the driver space. A common tactic used by ally infantry was to stick a sock or tissue on the glass plane blocking the driver's view.

The fact that 76mm shells bounced easily from the Tiger's front make it impossible for a .30 cal bullet to penetrate 100 mm (3.9 in) of armor.
