I dont get that part. Am i a product manager on FCV and didnt know it?

I find it extremely hypocritical the way you deal with feedback Bluedrake, especially because you lectured HOG admins on they way they handled criticism.

You think that Murphy's post was useless and defamatory? Not only have you isolated yourself from the rest of the PR community, but it seems that you've isolated yourself from reality. Murphy's post was extremely well thought out and fair and was in no way spiteful whatsoever. Murphy is not that kind of guy.

PR is interesting because the gameplay and style is not necessarily dictated by the game itself. The game is partly defined by its community. While I appreciate that things inevitably change, PR has changed for the worse. FCV is not the main reason for this decline, but it certainly contributes to it.

I understand that you are eager to make your own identity within PR and that you aim to create a casual server for people to play on. However, I don't think you understand that there is a difference between casual play and mature gameplay. Those two terms are not mutually exclusive, but you think they are.

I played FCV today and im sorry to say i had a missreble time. I have played PR for over 25 years and FCV must be the lowest of the low. First thing that happen was that i joined the server, and to no surprise there was mic spam as soon as i joined. Now, i have played PR for a long *** time, i have over 300 confirmed kills (i am a navy seal) and is trained in gorilla warfare. Playing on FCV just makes me angry because they dont enjoy the game the same way i do. But anyway, i create a squad called "Tac Inf". And load in, get my squad up to 7 players and they all have their kits. Just as we are about to leave the main base the last guy gets slotted and he asks what kit to spawn with. This is typical FCV, noob players who just join squads and asks for kits. If i where to run this server this player would be banned, no wonder PR is going downhill.

Anyway, after then kicking this n00p player from my Tactical squad for super veterans only we roll out. We start building this FOB on this kickass location that only pro's know about. After we finish building it some squad that got wiped (lol noobs) spawn in and one of the squad members of that squad crack a joke and the other members laugh. Talk about mumble spam, jesus crist. If this was my server they would have been banned and reported to the cyber police. After telling them all that they are dreadful players and how shit this server is me and my squad move out to attack the AO.

After walking across the map and back again (you know, for a more realistic experience as pr only does 4k maps) we meet this group of enemy soldiers that we totally wipe out, nothing to be expected here as this is FCV and they are all noobs. In celebration i yell out some tactical words like "10-4" and "roger roger" in squad leader radio so that everyone on the server knows how operator i am we continue to move out.

We wipe another squad (again, FCV players suck and FCV suck) before my team looses 500-0 because i have a noob team and the admins dont know how to ban hackers. After yelling to everyone in public mumble in the debrief screen, making shure to shove my mic as far as possible into my mouth to make sure everyone can hear me and so that the chat dont gets flooded by the mic spammers saying "good game" and shit i leave to play on a propper PR server where the admins and players are not shitty noobs.

i rate the server: 12,5 / √13,62
would not recommend FCV again.

Because obviously we've created all the website features and servers in the world too.

I think you have this strange idea that I'm trying to do anything other than isolate myself and my community from the PR community. That's uh... that's exactly what we're doing.

Maybe if any of my community criticism had been met with reasonable discussion instead of banning both myself and my followers from corresponding servers I'd feel a little more pity. However, since that was not the case... you can be sure anyone outside my community will be met with the same one-sided self-serving demeanor that we were.

I feel like I've made this quite clear, I don't understand why you all just don't get it. But okay.

Also anyone who refers to our server as a "cesspool" I don't consider "well thought out and fair" feedback. And if you feel that it is, then I'm happy to throw you into the same category we throw him.

I'm SO sorry Cisco <3 PLEASE COME BACK TO US. WE'LL SAY OR DO ANYTHING.

Cisco has finally opened my eyes. From now on in order to prevent mumble spam, we'll be turning off our mumble server completely. Its the only way to be sure.

As you know every single player in this community is entitled to telling us how to run our server, and if we don't appeal everyone then we have utterly failed as a community.

Cisco is a senior admin and manager for FCV as far as I know. That's probably why.

So you're basically saying that you've taken up the same strategy of banning outsiders who say bad things about your server over the internet, after you criticized them for doing the same thing? Nice.

These aren't just words, people. Chefmoto1 was permabanned from FCV after posting in this thread.

Reminds me of the time I kicked Cisco out of my CAS squad at the start of the round, and then berated him for being a bad team player when he one-manned a trans truck halfway across Khami to ask me why he couldn't be in the squad. The next day I was mysteriously permabanned.

In b4 I'm banned from FCV for speaking out in this thread.

Then why have a feedback thread? Why do you answer to our oh so bad feedback?

Do you not see the hypocrisy in doing exactly that which you have held such a grudge on for such a long time to players on your server? Permanently banning players for objecting your simplistic, flawed view is what is really unacceptable.

But hey, it's your community, you're allowed to dumb down and keep the threshold of skill in this mod as low as you'd like, regardless of your ability to do otherwise.

But I also guess I am speaking to a brickwall. This is the same person saying that 1.3 was the last update; the same one glitching FOBs to kill a cache, then uploading it; the same person ignoring good feedback and letting his colossal ego block any bit of logic in this thread.

Just from your posting history, in-game tactics, and lack of ability to tell right from wrong; it becomes apparent that your ability to have a reasonable discussion on something even this simplistic is too much for you to withstand.

Pretty sure you are required to have a feedback thread or the server license can be revoked. For obvious good reasons. What game content are you talking about blueD42? Just curious

Game content made by the community also include the DEV's you do realize that right? as they are also part of the "community" but yeah I'm probably overthinking stuff I'm sure blued42 you also appreciate and respect the Developers and players of the Mod the same way we all do. Had fun a bit ago. Just wish a lot more cooperation was in play between squads. Could you also try and scramble teams more? I've notice round after round of same **** team vs stacked team.

Yes we definitely need to scramble teams more, unfortunately though scrambling teams sometimes risk server crashes... which is why we try to abstain from time to time.

So FYI for those who want to help us out and keep the server a little more stable... instead of us having to scramble, if you see the enemy team having issues... see it as a challenge and try to switch sides (usually there's spots free on the losing team =P)

Free Candy Van isn't limited to Project Reality. "Community" on that page is obviously not referring to the Project Reality community, as far as I'm concerned our community is entirely separate save for our one server. 90% of the people who come through our site come from my channel, they could care less about this forum or its developers.

I'm referring to the content our Product Managers create, which yes right now does include some in-game content (that subsequently is content that has nothing to do with Project Reality.) If we ever do decide to develop content for Project Reality that will be included, but atm FCV has nothing developed within this game.

That post and that forum doesn't revolve around the Project Reality community.

Just to help Clarify, If Chefmoto was banned for reasons diclosed on this thread, he will be unbanned; As well Cisco was removed due to his power grab, he is no longer part of the admin team and has no right to do such

The issues with Cisco and other server technician's was primarily related to unclear staff delineations, which have hopefully been solved by our recent overhaul of staff descriptions and responsibility clarifications.

All I can say is WOW.

FCV is usually a #8 or #9 on the speed dial for server join. (Sienfeld reference)

I do miss the old BlueDrake who used to play like one of us before making all the YouTube videos.

Outside of that, I have certain expectations of every server I join and adjust accordingly. FCV is no different. Regardless of which community that is being referred to here, I enjoy the PR experience overall.

Here are my basic expectations of FCV:

1. Admins will be slow to respond.
2. When responding, usually (not always) use a bulldozer to the jungle forest approach.
3. Mumble spam is pretty much a given. < Headphones removed until spawned in and/or move on to next objective to avoid it.
4. Players will play as they wish, for the most part, regardless of squads, objectives, or other related generally accepted "competitive" guidelines.

Outside of that, I enjoy the friends and the gameplay regardless.
