Delfer wrote:Teams were really stacked tonight, but the admins(a lot of them were PRWars I think) seemed to be trying to mitigate it. They moved their clan over to the losing team and whoever was doing the maps played Pavlovsk inf layer which ended in a 2-0 loss, so obviously their balancing efforts had an effect. It was some pretty good admining.
Awesome rounds last night, Pavlovks was very intense. Inf layers tend to be quite a fun and much more teamwork oriented lately. Wtb moar

+1 for inf layers.

Good work on balancing teams to you and your clan, Biglouie.

Thanks for the hard work and good teamplay, everybody, as long as there are people enjoying the rounds on HOG, there will be a HOG server for you to play on. Now 6 years and counting!

Had a few great rounds last night, it's really good when you get 3-4 competent and communicative infantry squads going.
EDIT: i tried to watch the battlerecorder but it seems to never start. Is there a fix to this or did the file just stuff up? (its only 50K)

muttrah was down to 5-0, and kashan inf was 16-0
good rounds lately.

thanks to skippy and wth for switching sides when they needed to kick some ******** on ghost train. admin coverage gets sparse in the AM, but tequilla doc and lung work hard to make sure it's fun for 100/100.

Thanks for the feedback, dy. Glad to see the rounds are close like that, always a good sign.

We are aware of the sparse admin coverage in the AM, it's something we've worked on but still haven't achieved the coverage we'd like. I'd like to restate that we're still taking applications for guest admins, if you're interested and have the maturity to handle a full server, contact Super_6__5 here or on our forums.

This should probably be moved to the HOG feedback thread. (He's not looking for an unban... he's saying be polite/respectful when enforcing rules)

Can you truly talk about lack of respect in this case? You join a server, which is someone's property, and has rules set by the owner. You are aware of these rules, and yet break one of the simplest rules in the book: "Do not fire in your base". That rule leaves no room for interpretation, and breaking it for such a reason is quite silly. You could have left the base, and you could have made a local game to test the equipment.

Regarding other cases, I think people that have intention to follow the rules will not break them blatantly. While warning should be given, it's still regarding rules that are usually obvious, and if not, they are always reasonably simple. As you ought to know the law, you also aught to know the server rules, or expect punishment when breaking them either way.

I apologize if I misinterpreted your post. As you said, your English leaves some room for improvement, and so does mine.

Moved to this thread as suggested by Psyrus - not a ban appeal per se.. (p.s - your English is pretty good :D )

Thanks Noddy.

@Deltasays: if I understand your post correctly, you were firing in main after being told to stop by an admin? You also say that you know that this is against the rules, yet you did so knowingly.

I'm not sure what you want us to do here, Delta. You knowingly and intentionally broke a very basic rule. On top of this, joining a public server, thus taking a spot on one of the teams, to test out new sounds and not participate in teamplay or the actual round, kinda goes against the common sense rules of PR and common courtesy.

I wasn't there when it happened, so I can't comment on whether our admins handled the situation right, whether you ignored warnings or not, whether you were simply unresponsive or whatever happened.

But intentionally breaking a rule deserves a wake-up call, in my book. You call for tolerance for new players, which I absolutely agree with, but new or not: don't go breaking the rules intentionally, you will be swiftly removed from the server and have to explain your actions to us before we can see if you will be an asset or an issue for our server.
We have nothing to gain by letting people on our server who knowingly break the rules, do you understand?

I hope this is a sufficient explanation, please let me know if I misunderstood your post.

We had some great rounds tonight and the games went back and forth for all 3 maps I played. I wanted to also say thanks to everyone who plays late night US time for the great games, night after night. Theres always good teamwork and the server is filled with some of the greatest players/leaders in the game around that time (at least in my opinion).

Just had a decent round on Fallujah. We as insurgents won the match, I got surprised though that even clans that are known as teamwork orientated didn't communicate much during that round. That you are insurgents isn't an excuse.

Three ins maps in a row was enough to get myself and the 10 other people playing with us to log off.

I was wondering if you guys could potentially TRY not to have INS, INS, INS....

I was on when Couger was talking about. It really did suck.

As much as I don't care for INS. 2 rounds are more then enough.

Please do a more variety of maps though.

Xiangshan is my fave for Frenchies.
Did you guys make the French Forward Outpost flag and Chinese Forward Outpost flag off limits yet?

I forget who I was talking to about it. I think his name started with a J or a G.... He is admin, but doesn't have HOG tags on...

Please make it offlimits untill it is cappable. Since our Choppers do respawn there and we can spawn there.

I went to pilot a chopper and found out the French put mines by the choppers. (Yes, i didn't notice then, I swore they were rocks)

So, we lost cause of it, we have like 2 choppers that respawn there.
