PLEASE ENSURE YOU INCLUDE AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE, ALONG WITH FRAPS VIDEO CLIPS AND/OR SCREENSHOTS, YOUR TEAM, THE MAP, MAP SIZE, LOCATION ON MAP THE BUG OCCURRED, COMPUTER SPECS ETC

Maps- Kashan 64 Alt AAS and Dragon Fly Std AAS

Server- =]H[= Hardcore AAS/INS MIXED

Location- Anywhere on the map

Bug that occurred- After entering a static AT launcher, or any vehicle that has thermal optics enabling them and then disabling them, the result is textures becoming either transparent or invisible all together. When i put the thermals back on i can see the ground and textures again. Also when i aim in a sight after this bug has happened, the textures return to normal. Ive only played the new patch twice and on these maps, and this has been whats happened. It seems to happen regardless of the vehicle that im in, as long as it has thermals. At the time i only tried it in two, the British Warrior and the Abrams Tank. It also happened to me when on a AT at a firebase in Kashan. There was nothing unusual happening in the servers at the time, and no reported errors from TC admin.

To reproduce this- Max out graphics on BF2 PR, enter one of these maps, go to a vehicle and turn on thermals and then turn them off.

PC Specs- Gateway NV59 laptop, ATI 5650 1gb, Intel i3 330m, 4gb DDR3 1066mz, 640 western digital 7200rmp hardrive

Game settings- Everything on High and maxed out 1920x1080

Thanks in advance for your time looking into this.

Im sure thats a ATI driver issue as I get transparent ground textures when maxing out the ATI AA and AF settings. Try turing down the ATI stuff or set to aplication controled. See if that makes a diffrence. If it changes the effect in any way then its a driver issue not the game. If it was a game bug it would do it all the time.
