I know that in future releases hopefully within 1 year of this patch we should expect to see the 128man servers become available to the public. As one would assume when the R-dev support the Sisu server, which by the way cant wait for a US ping...
The Real question is... What is the difference specifically between a 64 man layout on Kashan vs the 64 AAS one.
More Humvee? Jets? Tanks? or new to map elements?
I was wondering if it made more sense to activate all the flag zones and even make new flags like North Desert or Southern Mountains when you eventually go to 128man.

I've checked the 128 man layer on local, waited 20 minutes to see if there will be some extra assets, and..... nothing, this layer is the same as std, you can check it by yourself.

the 128 layer does not work without special files that are currently only found on SISU's server
the 128 layer for kashan and burning sands were included in order to test the new mechanism that soppa created to allow us to use the 128 layer
you can not use the 128 layer in local, it'll default to teh 64 layer, as it always has done if you ever tried including more than a 16/32/64 layer in AAS
these tests may well fail, however we want to know if we can use this layer as its the most convenient way to have 128 player GPOs

I didn't memorise the numbers, but I think it was 2 extra transport choppers, one attack chopper per team, 1 fighter, 1 bomber, an extra non-resp tank and either one or two extra non-resp bradleys iirc.
the only major issue really is that the Helicopter pads are in not-so-great positions in mec main for the extra choppers, however to have moved them would have required modification of the 32 layer, and that wasn't practical at the time.
