Ive installed all of the approriate files etc in this order battlefield, patch v.141, 1.5, PR 0.96 part 1,2,3 but when i got to start the game up it stays on the loading screen and when i click on it with the cursor it says PR.exe not responding any solutions? i had this once with the previous pr version but manged to solve it.. ive already uninstalled and installed numerous times but im at wits end now!!!

You running as an administrator?

Have you redownloaded/verified that the files are not corrupted?
Try with defraging, loading might be slow because of that.

The usual suspects:

- running as admin
- disabling windows themes etc. (helps for ram and i think smoother running of the game)
- defrag (after any installation bigger than 500 mb)
- screen resolution: had it a couple of times on my and friends PCs that BF2/Win7 had
problems with the default resolution. find the "video.con" in
C:\Users\*****\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001
and change the resolution to your normal screen resolution you have in windows

you can set the startup parameters in the desktop shortcut as well to fit your resolution


I tested and played over 100 games on win7 64 bit in the last year (oc not all of em were released within the last year) with these methods without any issues.
