Game crashing entire comp in fullscreen.

Hello, I've been playing Project Reality since .95 in which I never crashed but did have some performance issues. My problem is when I play Project Reality in full screen, about 15 seconds after the kit screen, my computer completely freezes up and I'm unable to move mouse, alt+tab, exit, etc. I have to resort to shutting of my computer manually. After a few tries of lower my graphics settings, resolution, and sound settings, I still had the same exact problem. Finally, I tried windowed mode to see if I could get an error instead of maybe my entire computer crashing. I got in game and played just fine with the game windowed. My game never crashed or freezed. Any help would be much appreciated.
Computer Specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom x4 965 BE 3.4 GHz (Overclocked to 3.8 GHz)
GPU: 2x ATI Radeon HD 5750's Crossfire
RAM: 4 GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Edit**
Also, forgot to mention that playing singleplayer on fullscreen did not crash/freeze my computer.

Update drivers.
Watch your temperatures (possibly overheating).
Possibly corrupted PR files, maybe a redownload/file verification and a reinstall might help.
Worst: Possibly broken hardware: run a memory check.

All drivers are up-to-date.
Temperatures are fine.
Already re-installed, didn't fix problem.
Hardware/Memory is fine.
Haven't tried file verification. If you can tell me how I will do that.

If you downloaded the files using a torrent client you can try to find something that sais "Force Re-Check" (e.g. in uTorrent).
Alternatively you can check for MD5 sums using programs such as MD5 summer or total commander.
MD5 sums of the torrent files:

So it happens
every time on multiplayer without fail that your computer freezes, but not single player?
What happens if you create a local multiplayer game in full screen mode?
Does it crash your OS when you play BF2 in full screen?

Every time I have tried to play multiplayer with full screen it freezes my entire OS and I'm unable to do anything.
If I make a local game with BOTs my computer does not freeze up. It has a few gitters at the start and then its fine.
Just tested out BF2 again, It seems to crash in full screen as well.
Its most likely BF2 now that it also crashes. I'll see if I can find the problem.
