[0966] Eurocopter tiger barely useable

eurocopter tiger has 2 things that make it very tricky hard and scary to fly

1. Well known that as soon as you touch the ground flip boom its gone...

2. thers an angle of dive that once in it the heli wont pull out and your going to crash..

ive heard theres going to be a 0.97 sooonish to fix alot of bugs so if this could be loooked at would be aprecaited

I have no problem landing it but indeed the dive of doom is a problem.

EDIT: Nvm, no problems with Tiger.

Yes the chopper is very difficult to land due to the front landing gears but it can be done. Best way I have seen is to get it extremelyclose to the ground and just hop out it will land itself most of the time.

I've noticed that too, landed on a Silent Eagle round and chopper flipped... Dive of doom happened as well, also the gunner can't hit anything since there's the chopper on the cameras way and you want to see to the ground you gotta dive AND IF YOU DIVE THERE'S NO WAY BACK

thanks for reporting please make sure you read this before reporting a bug in the future

Nope, just tested it and there's no issues with the Tiger. Landing has no problems and the dive of death has been fixed. You must be doing something wrong.

Just try going into missions.. Get someone to laze targets for you and lets see how many second you will stay in air :D

the dive of doom is not a bug imo. cause its just unrealistic to be able to launch a missile at a target which is right below you (which is possible with every other heli) and that just sucks anyway.

the landing gear is not a problem at all, just keep the brake tapped a little and the landing gear will come down.... ( not that easy with keyboard, but with pedals its veery easy)

How does that have anything to do with landing or diving problems?

Interesting xfire videos, that is not how the tiger works for us at all. Are you flying with mouse+keyboard or a joystick? Also what are your sensitivity settings?

edit: so the landing can be done, at least on a local server. Just keep tapping S(throttle down) instead of holding it.
Dive of doom is definitely there. Either it's realistic and all choppers should behave this way, or it's a bug.

What I mean by that is that you have to hit a precise target not just shoot around randomly, and your Tiger doesn't behave anything like mine as Bufl4x said

I use keyboard only to fly, maybe that makes a difference?

Could be, I use mouse+keyboard myself

i agree a local server non game situation shows **** all ... also you able to do a few dives proves **** all because i know it happend twice in a game yesterday

Why would the helicopter behave differently on a local deployment and dedicated deployment?

Also you got to react quickly on AA locks/missions/jets etc.

Why would a tow missile not work in deployment but work in local?
I have no idea, but it's always best to test possible bugs both ways, local and online.

Ive done a lil bit of testing, and it is possible to enter a dive where if you dont have enough altitude you wont pull up.

Need to test it on a keyboard as that may affect it.

But it seems if you go up high say 800 then point the nose down and DO NOT pull back at all it will want to increase the dive angle and once you gain the right momentum it will not pull out, the only way to get out was reverse the throttle and sorta roll around. (hard to explain) but that used alot of altitude so at low altitude it would not pull up.

if you keep pulling back on the stick as you go and not let it increase the dive angle, it wont get into the dive that you cant pull out of.

However if you dont pull back or wait to long till you do then it seems to not respond to pulling back on the stick and you end up crashing. Interesting thing to note was that in that stage of the dive the speed is only around 500 yet ive seen it reach 900 or so.

The havok however pulls out of a similar dive with ease.
