[0966] Ground bug?

Now I'm not sure if this is just me but every time that I load a game, the ground comes in blank. I have a brand new computer with a really great graphics card. I can play high settings and full resolution with no problem. But once I downloaded the patch for pr, the ground doesn't seem to load in. I tried lowering the settings, bumping up my graphics card to run faster, restarting the game. Anyone help?

Either try different graphic drivers or disable AA.
Disabling AntiAliasing will fix your problem 99%.

Btw this isnt a PR related bug, you should have posted it there: PR:BF2 Support - Project Reality Forums

I read somewhere that turning AA off in-game, but forcing it through the Catalyst control center will work. Anyone confirm?

Clear BF2 cache by deleting the files in this folder:
Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache\ directory in XP or
Users\[username]\Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache\ in Win7/Vista

Turn off aero theme if you are using win7.

Might wanna double check that because I've not come across a single case where that hasn't been the cause. Revisit your graphics settings if you don't mind.

If it does turn out to be something else, please let us know!

Oh and be sure to re-optimize your shaders after disabling the AA of course, by which I mean you go to your "My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache" and delete everything inside there. It'll then rebuild your shader cache, and if your AA is disabled, should fix your issue.

And be sure to restart the game after changing your AA settings.
