Went as a sniper on the US Side on Jabal, after we got Jabal city went on the roof of the hotel to snipe, and suddenly i started getting bleeding, thought i got shot so i throwed a couple of Field Dressings at me, when it didnt work i just died and turned into wounded before i even got the Cough and the black blurry screen.


Steps to Reproduce:

Get on the hotel roof at Jabal al burj.

Jabal Al Burj AAS 64

are you sure you did not get killed by a sniper?

More importantly, could you reproduce that? I haven't heared of it so far, I'd also assume that you were simply wounded by enemy troops and it just happened to be a rather weird death.

I'm pretty sure you just got shot mate, theres nothing up there that can kill you by itself

the map only received lighting and VD changes, 4/5 objects got moved and 1 got replaced, the rest is exactly how it was in 957.

I'm 90% Positive i didnt get shot, i didnt here any shots coming at the second time and because after i died once i went up there again to get the sniper kit, and before i died i hided behind that little "roof access" block, i'll try to reproduce it with Fraps on and i'll edit it in.


edit - alright lol so i checked it over an empty server and nothing realy happend so my only speculation is that i got shot by a realy far sniper from behind lol, sorry for the false call and i gotta say that sniper was damn good :]

Two days ago on Karbala as an insurgent I climbed on the hotel roof next to the Ins main. I also had a sniper rifle. IIRC I zoomed out/or stood up and went black'n white. Almost certainly I didnt get shot.

only explanation for that was that a random round from beyond visual range hit you/near you not showing any effect as a result

or perhaps someone was using aimbot/whatever under those circumstances and one of his insanely accurate rounds did that from beyond visual range

if you can replicate the bug then it'll be something else, but theres just nothing up there that can do this.

look at the post above you, maybe it is a bug with the hotel roofs, i thought i was crazy but hey, its not just me lol.

Keep in mind that if you get hit from ~600m by a sniper you hardly hear any sound, at least in PR. With the new view distance on Jabal it's quite easy to get shot from far distances.
And the fact that you had exactly NOT enough time to get yourself patched would also contribute to that.
