The magic grenade that disappear when you die bug..

Hi guys....
I was wondering if you are thinking about fixing the magic nade phenomena!
YES!!
They are truly magic, because If you for some reason die 1 second after you have through your grenade, they disappear in mid air..
WHY??
In real war they will explode regardless of your health status, and since claymore and mines don’t disappear I think this has to be a bug.
It has to be.. it's no logic explanation for this.. it's a reality mod....
BTW: the same magic phenomena occur when you use grenade launcher.
I find it strange that nobody have fixed this problem in earlier versions, but I hope you guys will look at it…

I dont beleive its the same for AT, I just think the AT's go miles of course when you die.

Yeah ( im not much of a coder ) if this can be fixed and it isn't "hardcoded" then sure GO for it... So many things to do

Sometimes I wonder if any of the DEVs feel like jumping off a building

i believe that AT goes through people when you die (at least thats what happend when me and goodfella were having an AT fight).

This is a vBF2 issue and not a PR-related issue. If you do the same in vBF2, you'll notice the same magic granade making it's disappearing act.

@ Doom721: I don't think so. We're all here because this is our hobby...well...sometimes maybe, when you can't find a bug that needs to be solved

It sucks, but theres worse bugs with a nade.
If you die as your throughing a nade and get revived, switch to your nade and it will auto through. Killed 5 friendlies with this bug before. (sorry squad) lol

The BIGGEST thing with nades is the ability to guide it AFTER its thrown. You can all try this for fun...What you do is throw the grenade, and quickly turn to the left or right. Most of the time the nade will change course in mid air. Intresting?

If you think that's buggy, you should have seen the grenades and AT weapons in 0401

Are you sure? There've been many times when I've thrown a grenade, gotten killed and then lie there watching the server-status message area for news of it's impact, and mostly if it was thrown on-target I've got the kill.
What *really* stunned me in PRMM this week was when I:
1) Threw grenade
2) Immediately got shot and fell to the floor bleeding out
3) Grenade disappeared mid-air
4) Medic ran up and resusc'd
5) Grenade appeared on the ground under the point at which it had vanished
6) Grenade exploded killing me and medic both

I was playing another mod yesterday and I killed people much as Masaq described, with throwing the grenade and then dying. I also died in the same way he described!
I believe it is an issue of timing. I.e. the time the server logsbetween you thorwing the grenade and being killed. Just my idea.

AT rockets fail to do any damage when you die.
my favorite grenade bug
throw grenade down alley. medic runs infront causing the to bounce off his back into a squad of six friendly people.

Errmm...ok then this is different than what happened to me. My experience has always been that when I'm about to throw a granade and I get shot, it disappears, and it's like I never throwed a granade in the first place.
Worth checking if it's something PRMM related or BF2 v1.4 related.
It may also be related to lag. I remember when I played Raven Shield online, you would peek around a corner and throw a granade..and go behind cover again after the animation played out...you would see the granade "come out" late and land over my feet. Then I go "Daaammmmnnnnn yyoouuuuu laagggg!!!!...*echoes* *granade explodes and /me is dead*

The same glitch occurs if you throw a grenade and disconnect - it disappears.
I think this may be connected to claymores. If you die, your claymores disappear, but only after a short while? Probably connected in some way to the disappearing grenades.

Also, anyone had any problems with the grenade-flight animation?
This *keeps* happening: you press the mouse button to hurl the grenade, and one grenade is thrown (i.e.: ammo count goes down by 1, one detonation occurs)... but *two* grenades fly into the air, one about half a second behind the other on an identical flightpath.
It's not a problem per say, it's just weird.

Yeaa.. i also have that silly bug.... No problem though....
ON topic:
The magic grenade is however a serious bug...
Have our beloved DEV's concluded with the fact that this is an EA problem,
which is not fixable in PRMM?
EDIT: Just for the record, i really love this mod, and don't actually care if you fix this or not.
This mod is awesome as it is, and a few bugs is no big deal...
I'm totally Project Reality Junkie, and really appreciate what all you DEV's are doing for us..

Yeah, the Grenades are a BF2 problem. We can look into it, but probably won't be able to do anything.
As for the double ammo pack and grenade issue - thats entirely a BF2 netcode issue.
