I was wondering how much meaning anyone have put into the few letters you have at your disposal when creating a squad name.

most technical squad name ( "AAV-7A1" )

most geeky squad name (l33t r0x3r)

Most simple squad name (Mortar)

Most boring squad name (Delta)

Most selfish squad name (I rock)

Most overall squad name (armour+inf)

Most restrictive squad name (MIG)"locked"

What I'm really looking for is a squad name that is most useful and most meaningful, but go ahead and reply with funny names to

My clan's defacto SL uses PiCE Mumbles (because Mumble is awesome), as well as BTR RTB (which he explained to me is to let people know that since we are generally taking fire from every one on our server as well as several others at any given time, we will be RTBing a lot)

I use:

STA (Scouting and Target Acquisition) or Target Acq when running sniper/SL recon.

FOBSDONE (Self explanatory - said with Warcraft 2 Orc Peon voice over)

CHUCKWAGON (When running a logi for a whole map)

FireSupport (AA + Mortars)

Ambush or Sappers depending on team/mode



The best Squad name I have seen to date was "F*CKING COW" which was even funnier since I did not know the Hip was called the Cow. It just sounded like a pretty awesome squad to be in.

Runner up would be "DRUNK VIOP" (and the absolutely sh8tcocked limey running it was a hoot)

Mumble Ladies!

I mostly name mine according to what side I'm on... I try to tie it into the faction in some way.

I play on Insurgency mode mostly, and spend most of my time messing around as a civi so if I'm on the Insurgents side, I usually go with something like "ALLAHSNACKBAR!" or "LOLIBAN"... if I'm on the USA/British/Blufor side, I go with something purposeful like "Towel Hunter" "Jihad Killa" "Camel Theives" or something like that.

One time I made a squad called "MPs" for the sole purpose of finding and arresting civilians and/or sneaking up on enemies and arresting them... it was kind of fun, felt more like playing SWAT 4 than Project Reality in some instances.

I find that the squad that gets called retarded the most is 'Trans Heli'... "OMGWTF! YOU CRASHED LIFTING OFF FROM THE CARRIER?!?!" "Err, you missed that supply drop by like 3 grid squares and the crate broke..." "YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG F&@#*$)ING WAY!" "DONT LAND THE...." *Chopper violently rolls over and explodes because noob pilot landed on a hill*

Depends on faction usually if I make a squad. Russia? Putin's Finest. Brits? Bangers+Mash. Militia? Putin's Hated.

You get the picture.

As for squad names I like, mumble inf always gets me off. I also like Akiba's use of Cake in his squad names, and the much shared "Tacticool"

Pony mumble beats all of that silly squad names.

Also there is another squad made from 1337 to 1337 it is called : Free kits
