The map had just started, we were on Fallujah West, I placed down a hideout, we shoveled it, then I went to place an SPG and it gave me the 'You have reached the maximum allowed" message, even though I was the only squad leader, by the only hideout.

I could not get this to happen again, and haven't seen it happen again so I do not have much information, sorry.

maximum allowed in this AREA... looks like it may have spawned glitched or something where you don't see it. Happens some times, just right-click and remove it, wherever it is.

Yeah, I had walked around and right clicked to remove spammed but I still couldn't get it to work, must have just been one in a building or something possibly.

Going commander and using the delete function works to fix this. Happens a lot with mortars also when an area attack destroys them, I think they fall through the map (like kits sometimes do) or something and the only way to rebuild them is to go commander and delete everything in the area.
