Nothing changed the last year?

Hey there
i just was back in PR just wondering if there been any changes to gameplay. I quitted playing a year ago cause it became hard to get the gameplay i was looking for.
i dont wanna say there was no teamplay, there was. sad thing was it often was found on only one faction on the server killing the other team round after round.
Makes me sad cause after looking around and testing lots of other games PR has still potential, but is hard to play when u get switched to the "fresh from vanilla" side or dont see any enemy at all cause ur on the superior team which steamrolled the enemy already before u arive.

Cmon admins, clans, players. no excuses, keep the game fair, balance teams by organisation and experience :!:

Ugh, Mumble, plus good server that's known to have teamplay = win? Usually that's how it works, Mumble is a great program to help communicate between squads and squad members.

ehm comes near to what i said but doesnt changes the fact one team which is experienced the other is not :(
what i saw is instead one group of mumbleuser switch to the team that got outplayed a few rounds in a row, they keep switching their buddies over to that team which is already superior.

i dont wanna judge any one but doesnt sound like making the game more interesting does it?

Just logged onto mumble now and as a quick example using the TG server and got 11 players in team 1 (not including me) and 16 players in team 2. While no it isn't 50/50, its only 5 players difference between the two teams and its not like every single mumble player is on the same team...

Also I may add there are plenty of servers and finding the good ones doesn't take long, you will find a few of them will actively encourage "fairness", however sometimes it is hard for the admins as people generally dont want to move themselves, or complain if they're moved, and especially if its the insurgents.

Hey tuwak, nice to see you back again :)

my tip: search for servers with mumble in their name (my favourite is PRTA) cause with mumble the gameplay is sooo much more epic.

Weellll.... That picture shows one team that has most of the squad leaders on mumble, and the other team having only one. That does make quite a huge difference :p

Doesn't mean the other team was teh fails, of course, they might've had a commander and/or text-based inter-squad communication, but the mumble SL channel is a very important gameplay factor.

On that note:
We all can make the difference. Just join the team with less mumblers/experienced players and help them out.

hey rhino.
i played on a few servers yesterday and today and it happend that one team always won.
it was the team where lots ppl had the same tag and more players on mumble.
the TG example is picked out and doesnt reflect the problem of unbalanced teams.

ill give it up to point out this thing that obviously no one wants to see.
anyway, have fun guys

I've always seen this problem no matter the server. Only time when it's not around is when every SL is on Mumble SL channel, but even then there can be serious lack of balance (caused by individual skills or something). It's all random. It's just the principle of how random things happen.
But one thing I hate is teamswitching to be in the "better" team instead of doing something for yours. It really can ruin gameplay for both teams. I feel no joy of steamrolling and totally raping my opponent, really I don't.

yeah cuz we don't want to hear any negative feedback no matter what, cuz we don't give a ****?...

In vbf2, COD4, PR, ArmA2, if one team is 'BETTER' they win?

Well admined servers such as TG, PRTA, NwA etc all have committed players who intentionally switch to the losing team in order to balance it out. I see it every time I play, in fact even I do that.

The game is in the hands of teh players, if their team isn't doing well they should change tactics, if they continue what they are doing and lose then complain that they lost...I really cba to listen unless there was a fundamental problem in how the game works that made them lose.

H is a good server for fairness. just a few nights ago we steam rolled MEC on burning sands on our tanks down to the last flag within 5 minutes and the admins asked us to sit back at the second last flag for a few minutes to give the MEC a chance to regroup. was kind of a buzz kill but it probably wouldnt have been much fun for most of the infantry on our team and the entirety of the MEC had we kept going

i heard alot of explanations why ppl wanted to play on exactly the one side (that is the winning one).
all i say is that it would be cool if the "better" team, or the "mumbleusing" or the "more organisated" team or the "my buddies are all there" team or the "thats all not true its random issue we win" team :D that wins over a couple of rounds should be shuffled with the other team where probably lots of new players are.
true point is that in other games there is similiar situation.

nebsif ur post is quite disruptive and arrogant. all u talk about is basicly some weaponskins(wrong thread) and that u dont care bout fairness.

What bugs me the most on public servers in these occasions is that even when it is obvious that one side is stacked, looking at the player list or previous rounds, that side will most likely continue to rush or take flags and end the round. Cases like where they ask to halt at a flag, i havent seen them, not without admins asking for it especially.

I've been on both sides and it boggled my mind to see the experienced players stroking eachothers ego's whilest powning an un organised side, that most likely has lost from the beginning because it takes more time to get going, causing them to be one step to late.
To me that is the same mind set that gets joy out of base raping and i really don't care for.

Remove flags. It will make games slower cause flags doesnt get completly capped out.

Wiccas crusade against the flags :p
With how CnC is never played, I find it hard to believe that a no-flag-at-all mode would be very popular.

Things used to be much clearer and fairer back in the days when we still had ABR.

Slow is the right word. Retarded is an excellent synonym that would fit even better.

"This is boring, lets go find some trouble"

Lone wolfing would become truly epic.

Oh lets make PR play more boring and slower than the "current very slow and kinda boring", horray!

Pfunk has a point, im loning mostly cuz in a squad everything takes ages. :D
