I bought new powercolor 6950 hd and everything is going smooth on othet games except pr.
I have about 20 to 60 fps on pr and I don't have any idea what would cause this. My gpu load usually is about 60% to 99% when Im playing but on pr only 1% to 40%
My system is amd phenom 955BE @3.4ghz, 4x2gb 1333mhz ddr3, powercolor 6950, and 600w corsair.

All,what needs to PR - RAM and CPU,Videocard - just adapter for your monitor here  .
I uses Phenom X4 925 and GeForce 8600 GTS also have stable 50 fps on mostly maps on High but without AA.Also I will buy Sapphire R6950 tomorrow :-P .

Yeah, it looks that CPU is too weak.

A 955 BE is too weak? I have a 945 and I play PR maxed out just fine.

I can't say what the problem is, but that doesn't match up with reality.

Before 6950 I had 5770 hd and had average of 90 fps on all maps. I run blac ops and bad company 2 with all settings on highest with 90 fps

I assume you've loaded the latest catalyst drivers to make sure it's not that (although since you say other games work, I guess it wouldn't be that)?

Also my brother had a HD5770 and he definitely didn't get an average of 90fps on all maps, even @ 1280x1024 (before I bought him his 24"WS), I call furphy on that one.

I think all I can do is wait for better drivers. I have tried 3 different drivers and they all have been the same.

Well if it's not the drivers, can you run a couple of benchmarks just to make sure everything is 100% right (outside of PR)?

Once you've confirmed the hardware side is all sweet then you just have to start messing with PR stuff.

That's pretty much bang on the money for your GPU, it's not being bottlenecked by your CPU (see these reviews (1 | 2) with a higher spec processor)

Firstly, I don't have any idea if this will have a performance impact but whenever I got a new graphics card (several times over bf2/PR), I would always clear the shader cache and have it rebuilt.

Also, use catalyst AA or set your ingame AA to 8x - I performance tested and 2x, 4x AA (ingame setting) both gave me worse performance than ingame 8x.

Do you have fraps? If you do, could you run the benchmark mode on a map like fallujah + one like ramiel/kashan and post the average, min & max of your drive arounds?

Well I also deleted all cache and even reinstalled whole game and bf2. I do have fraps and I'l look in to it tomorrow when I have more time.

Today I had fraps on while playing fallujah and my average fps was 29.89, max was 152 and mininum 0.

Older results on some other maps, which were barracuda and I don't remember the other one.
min 0, max 91, average 25.84.

min 0, max 551, average 77.97

Its fine results. I had pretty much everything the same with E8200 @ 2.66 GHz, 4 GB of RAM DDR 2 @ 800 MHz and 9600GT, resolution - 1680x1050, everything maxed out.

But I had like three times more fps with my old 5770 and this videocard is like two times better. I just dont get it...

maybe driver bug? Its hard to tell. But about other games? same thing?

If its just PR, then its very specific case.

Only pr, even arma II runs with all max for about 40 fps and below

Well,as I says I buy this card.FPS almost same(Sometimes a little higher) as on my old 8600GTS on all high w/o AA.

I have no clue, why its not performing better as it should be... This is real mystery for me. :( Maybe driver bug or something else. While its PR only, then your GPU simply don't like PR. :D

With new pach I now get average fps of 60 on maps with a lot of objects and maps like Kashan 90-130 average. So everything is as it should be now. Thanks all for helping.
