Yeah if you're downloading the torrent files, you'll need a program like utorrent. I'm also sure that there's a direct downloads.

Nah, both downloads are equally simple.

For torrent, you just need the extra step of the torrent program. Let me elaborate:

Normal download: You simply download the three files. Make sure BF2 is fully patched, then install the three files by double clicking them and okay-ing everything. No need to manually place files. Let it instal the mumble program, too, and read the manual when you're done.

Torrent: You download the tiny torrent files. Then your torrent program starts downloading the actual files from elsewhere. Advantage: Less strain on the host server, you directly get the file from others. Sometimes is much faster, depending on how many people upload. After the release, lots of people did. Not sure how it looks now, but normally, there's a lot of uploaders for the PR files.
After downloading the three actual files, it's all the same again. Ensure everything is fully patched, then install them in order. Instal mumble, read the manual, ???, profit.

Welcome to the forums, by the way :) If you have any questions about the game that the manual cannot answer, we're eager to help!

torrent is WAY faster than direct download. I would take the time to figure out utorrent if you don't already know how. It makes downloads so much faster

..... if you have seeds.

As I said, PR downloads normaly have a lot of seeds (= people who upload). I don't know how many there are right now, though, I had stopped seeding a while after the release. After a few weeks post release, the direct download may indeed be faster than the torrent.

I'd still suggest learning how the torrent stuff works, the next PR patch will probably be massive, again.

There is still a large amount of seeds, or large enough amount that I was able to download at 1.1mb/s

I downloaded all three PR files around a week ago, so it shouldn't of changed.
