Hi there!

Sometimes, when the battle lacks action, or at a simple dull moment, people start annyoing the opposing forces via general chat. Not pointless swearing, but innocent banter, even trollng, but between limits. To have fun, when we don't see each other.

Today I experienced this edifying conversation on Kokan Insurgency, when Taliban forces get bored, because ISAF searched for caches at the wrong place for long time...

-Hah, infidels can't find our underwater cache!
-What?
-Yes, in Foxtrot 7 (that place was on the river)
-There can't be, nasty Lollibans!
-Yes, it is there, but our soviet made submarine guards it
-Then our torpedoes finished him! Losers.
-Submarine crew "Fist of Kandahar" here. We didn't noticed any hits
-Wait...Enemy SUBMARINE spotted!

And so on...



What about your experiences or habits of annyoying, vexing, fretting, rile'ing, twitting?

I vote for a mumble channel for both teams, usable alongside the normal one, with a different button.

How often did you sneak up to someone and wanted to say something other than the normal Q-comm-rose stuff to him, without having to use all chat? Hell, could even tell him to put his hands up and see what he does.

Me in team-chat; Guys, let's trick these idiots into something, just play along with me..
Me in all-chat; Hey guys, don't you think we need to set up a fob near that cache in C6?
*there is no cache there*

seconds later

Enemy in all-chat; haha noob, etc.
Team-mates in all-chat; you stupid jerk Y U NO SILENT BOUT TEH CACHE


Eventually I lure them to that place/coordinate to ambush them.

My way of annoying you would be a !k NoobSentinel for spamming
There are only a few things i hate more than red text obstructing my view and making me miss important intel from my team.

But hey, each to their own i guess.

Someone: Hhaah, we destroyed your AAV.

Me: It was leased.

I like to troll on the all chat, but I do however not overwhelm it. As soon as people start spotting coordinates and are requesting important things you shouldn't continue.

I prefer to keep it positive, if the enemy accomplished something worthy of note I put it up in all chat with my compliments, however I feel taunting etc detracts from the game.

when it was like that I was constantly having to order squad members off the bodies they were teabagging; and some of the stuff that was said was quite outside the realm of civilised discourse.

What I find quite funny is that many servers complain as soon as someone is making a bit of fun in all chat...after just a few lines of text......but there server spams out rules and regulations at the top like mad.

I often enter the console to roll up on old messages but it result in a LOT of scrolling because of Server messages being spammed...not player messages.

The reason for that is allchat messages will make your own team's messages disappear faster, while server messages won't.

If i have to chose between reading useful intel and useless taunting, guess what i'm gonna chose?

I don't like taunting either. It is kinda childish behavior imo.

The "useful information" is quickly picked up though where as you can also quickly tell if its just banter and you can ignore it.

PR players often type there sightings and thereby flood the bar themselves and then your again left with asking "what where you saying?" or like I do..using the console page-up.

Your right though people who cant write full sentences while making jokes are rather annoying.

I just remember I trolled some U.S. guys in Kokan pretty bad... I was on a 1-mumble channel server. What do I do? I die in a place with a bunchload of americans around, along with another Taliban. We are just discussing in local chat what the hell had happened when some Americans decide to just make fun of us.

Me: "Know what? I'm respawning on that F3 cache."

Maximum trolling, my friends! U.S. actually bragged about how they eavesdropped on that cache location haha! 'Twas fun.

TAR has just very stupid people in it. I mean they believe what ever you say.

Enemy: We ARE ON TOP OF IT!!!
Enemy: How do we get to it? All of the friendly vehicles are here!

Enemy: Where is it?
Me: you just have to have everyone on your team throw nades in the same spot where you are, you get to dig with grenades.

Some guy was in hostile chopper on kashan and 1 maning it...

Me: Hey Apache! You know you can have a nuke on the chopper righT???
Enemy: Wut? Rlly?
Me: YUP! You just have to push your mouse all the way up and down and up and down.
Me: Then fire everything you got, Flares, ect.
Enemy: OK!!!!
*enemy tk's everyone at his base, still manages to stay flying*
Enemy: Now what?
Me: Press ALT+F4
Enemy: Ok?
*Enemy quits*

Agreed, TAR's people are easy to troll and the admins are eaven easier

i only get annoyed when someone is having long discussion about something that is not related to the game(round/match) i'm playing in.

Not really, BigD isn't a fan of global spamage and to be honest neither am I. However there's one line that will always come up, or at least a variation on a theme.

sometimes it can be funny when there is a bit of down time. but when people are bitching about them tking them for a logi truck the whole game it gets annoying
