Hello guys... So I have recently formatted my computer and whenever I play a video on fullscreen, the video will lag a lot and the sound will be buggy and cracky.... Also, for example, I am playing Assassin's Creed II at the moment and this also happens in the cut scenes... This has all happened after I formatted my computer... So I thought it has something to do with the drivers but I have reinstalled the drivers a million times... I am having trouble reinstalling my Sound driver though, I keep getting an error when I try to reinstall it and I don't know how to uninstall it....

I hope someone of you can help me...

What kind of error? What sound card do you have and what OS? A little more detail would be appreciated. Could be the wrong driver but could also be a bad version of flash if it is a youtube vid or something. Make sure hardware acceleration is on. AS for assassins creed.. try updating the game and check your directx sdk's.

I can't exactly remember the error... My sound card is Realtek HD Audio that's all I know and my motherboard chipset is Intel G31-ES2L. A bad version of Flash is a real possibility, I have thought of it before, I tried to update it, but it says that Flash is built in in Google Chrome so it didn't work so I have tried IE9 and it didn't work better either.

Hmm.. do you have a realtek audio hd panel that starts up in your start bar? IF you do open it and click the folder. and see what version it is.

You tried using these drivers yes?
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 775 - GA-G31M-ES2L (rev. 2.3)

Also, try and find a better version for that intel chipset. Might as well give you a link. Intel sucks so hard on chipsets.

Try that for the chipset. if you have a different os just adjust accordingly.

I am wondering, maybe something went wrong while the windows files were being copied during the format??? I am sure that if I reformat, everything would be good again, just like it has always been! Because I have used my same Windows 7 Professional like 3 times and I have never had any trouble! But I have already set up my computer the way I like it, it takes a lot of time to sort the PC out after the format like install all of the important programs and such things...

Also, could it be a Direct X issue?

Try looking in your C:/Progam Files/Realtekhd (or something like that) Should be a file in there called realp64 or something of the like

I doubt that that could be the cause but sometimes things happen that just don't make sense. Nothing is perfect.
