I click on the .exe, I get a prompt about 'unverified publisher' (normal stuff), click 'run' and I get the microsoft blue 'processing' circle and my computer makes sounds that indicate it's processing. Then nothing happens.

I ran the .exe and left my computer on all night so it's not a matter of waiting for the .exe to run which I know is normal to wait 15 minutes or so.

anyone have any advice? I've been searching google for 3 days now....

Sounds like you might have a bad update file.
