Greetings!
Im looking to get a server hosted somewhere in europe, UK Based if possible. Im texting since I am unsure which provider to select.
We wanna run just a single PR game server. With no BF2CCD as a must on it, as I know from experience it does crash PR servers a lot (unaware if this has been fixed though)
Also some knollage about the admin panel would be great, (FTP access etc)
So yeah need feedback ^^

Hey,
the easiest way for you is to get a server of
Alpha-Networks. They will manage all licensing stuff you need for PR and you will get a ready patched PR-server.
Other possibilities would be renting a dedicated machine with full access. But this would either require Linux or Windows Server knownledge.
BF2CCD is pretty outdated, I would not recommend to use it anymore.
There are several tutorials about PR servers in the SA Forums, so no worry about it.

If you have money, go the dedi route. As long as you don't have a linux server and aren't prepared to spend hours hunched over obscure linux forums and tutorials. Windows servers aren't that hard to set up and Bloody has got some shit-tastic tutorials in the SA forums.

Yeah, i've been looking a bit at the Alpha-Networks webpage...
Prices are a bit high, and also i've noticed server laggs on the Call of Duty side... :/
Anyone knows what kind of server specs they got on their servers etc..

Hey! Check out hetzner, a bunch of people in the European community is using their servers.
Mostly the EQ line.

Specs for Alpha networks:
For our Game Servers we use Intel Xeon quad-core CPU's with at least 8GB of RAM and RAID0 to ensure high disk speeds
Dual- and quad-core servers with 2GB to 8GB of RAM
Every machine is online with at least 100mb/s Full Duplex link
