how to patch bf2 i have v1.0 pls help me pls

Hey do the following:

A) Install BF2.
B) Install Patch v1.41.
C) Install BF2 Patch v1.5.

D) Install PR 0.97

i done patch v1.41 but when i click the icon it goes to black and crash to desktop :\

A little google'ing won't hurt you. This is a common problem in BF2.


Go into My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profile/Default/ and open Video.con (open with notepad)
Change the resolution to 800x600@60Hz
Start up the game.

Did you run as admin? That might help...

in the video.con options make sure that the resolution is set to your screen resolution.

still no help guys, my bf2 is not cracked i used the mini image is this the reason why i cant patch my bf2?

No need for any images, the lastest patch removes the need to use a DVD to play the game.

And mention such things earlier

What exactly did you do, in chronological order? Since when do you have BF2, has it worked without patch? Have you installed any mods before patching? You are running bf2.exe as admin, right? You have not installed PR already, correct?

hi sir, can u link me the latest patch.

i just download my bf2 and i didnt cracked it i used the mini image v1.0 and yes its working in multiplayer with no patch. i havent install any mods before, yes running bf2.exe as admin. yes i havent install PR. correct sir.

But you need 1.41 (which you already downloaded if I understood that correctly) before you can use that one.

By the way, are you sure your BF2 is 1.0? If you bought it recently, chances are it might already be 1.41 or 1.5.

Yep, get 1.41 from any site, and after you've used that patch, use the 1.5 one.

That's right...

If you're still having problems try deleting the \my documents\battlefield 2\ folder. That should reset all your settings.

Just to clear up... Are you having trouble installing the 1.5 patch or haven't you tried installing that patch yet?

i reinstalled the bf2 and just finished installed when i click the icon it says "please ensure battlefield 2 install disc is in the drive" should i use the mini image again to solve this problem?

You should try to patch all the way up to 1.5 don't even bother trying to play just yet. But the short answer is yes you should.

Once you have 1.5 working, you don't need the image anymore. If you can't get 1.5 to work, you'll need the image/CD/whatever. Where did you download BF2 if I may ask, by the way?

i patched my bf2 to v1.41 the game works fine but i keep getting kicked from the server becus of my ping :\
