Armored vehicle with a mortar? ya... o_O as long as your first shot is dead on, they wont have enough time to escape. Kinda common...

Jets on the other hand... ^_^

I took out a friendly helicopter once as well. Luckily, it wasn't transporting squads at that moment and was on the way to make a pick up.

I once flew through a funny cloud of smoke between the carrier and airfield on Barracuda. Turned out that mortar shells can still lift up dust clouds...... over the sea.

it would be funny if you hit a Jet while it was passing over your position .... straight up from the ground ... now THAT would be a story ... except i dont think there is any action for objects above Morters in tense of projectiles

Happens a lot on al basrah, always get the APC's camping near/on the bridges on the south end of the map and insurgents LOVE to mortar them.

Well, they never get a chance. I Arty IED them all hhahaha

I was commanding a mortar sqd on Archer.

We were shelling a Canadian FOB at the fortress, A chinook flys in just as a round hits one of towers, that one round killed the chinook, its passengers, a TOW & a MG + the gunners as well as 2 or 3 infantry standing around the assets. I can't remember who the mortar gunner was but he made me so proud.

On PR.FI trainings, mortar destroyed a friendly jet

Got killed by friendly mortars in a MTLB tonight

Of course, I remember on TG this newbie was driving a T90... Jesus I can't say much more.

He just stood there, he didn't move, we shot 4 mortars and he went

Back in them PRT days I called in a strike on a lightly armored Russian vehicle once. We had crack mortar men though so it was a piece of piss. Two tubes, AP, 10 meter spread on the shots. When you know them its pretty damned easy as long as its a hit on the first shot.

Getting an armor kill in a pub match with unfamiliar guys on the mortars without direct voice comms to them... thats worth a mention I figure.

I always wondered if they harmed tanks and apc's. So it's just a direct hit then?

Depends on the vehicle, but it pretty much has to be a direct hit or really close I think.

That accident gave us good laugh on mec side in kashan
There were picture about that accident somewhere but i cant find it

Once took down enemy Kiowa in kokan! He was hovering nearby so I aimed at him and fired, and suddenly I hear big explosion and the Kiowa falling down! Lot of "GJ" and lol's
