I've been thinking about this for a while: nobody ever seems to run out of ammo in PR.
I know the amount of ammo you get is meant to be realistic, but in the real life of a soldier, he doesn't die and respawn with full ammo every 5-10 minutes.
So, even if it's realistic to have so many magazines, the gameplay of not caring to conserve ammunition is not.
Having less ammo would also promote tactical thinking, dependence on supply crates/trucks/forward operations bases, as well as teamplay - depending on your mates to share the available ammunition.

Derp use suppressive fire, keep the enemy pinned, thats how you use your ammo in a good way. I've seen way too many people recently always using accurate shots and never use their ammo they have at disposal.
Back on topic: No I disagree ammo is fine as it is, if you died with spare mags left, you deserved it

I do not agree, I've used up all my ammo on suppressive fire and accurate firing.

This actually depends from round to round. I've had rounds where I run out of ammo after 5 minutes because of intense firefights, and I've had rounds where I haven't reloaded my rifle once.
Therefore, the ammo is fine. You actually need 8+1 magazines sometimes.

I've run out of ammo 5 times, lucky me each time I did run out of ammo I had a squad leader kit and a back-up pistol.

Haha. This is so true.
My LAT and HAT are always out of ammo, whilst the enemy seems to have it coming out of their *** or smthg to the like.

Its not too much ammo you can carry, its too much ammo availeble on the field.

Please leave it, I'm constantly scavanging for ammo as it is, but I use a lot of bullets, probably average one kill per 2.5 clips.

It's all Murphy's Laws of combat. You'll have plenty of ammo until you need it.

Suppression isn't effective enough and therefore not used as much. Make suppression A LOT more effective and, ammo will be spent a lot faster.

Pretty much this. I've found there have been a lot of occasions when I've had a bunch of intense firefights, and I've not been wasting my ammo but everytime I'd look down i'd slowly be running out. I reckon if you ran out of ammo when you were with your team it would just become annoying, but when you're running out of ammo after a prolonged firefight with enemies it adds to the fun.
Equally I don't think people should be discouraged from suppressing, and more bullets flying around = more fun.

It is not a primary weapon.
That means it is not meant to last you forever in cqb.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
In short, if you are not running out of ammo at all...you are doing something wrong(either dying excessively or not shooting enough suppressive so your teammate die more).

Meh. i kind of agree. Suppression is good as is, but i wouldnt mind turning it up, maybe make the suppression last longer from each bullet.

Nice try, but youre playing the game wrong if you are not running out of ammo. When i lead a proper squad, we are in dire need of ammo pretty much all the time, ceuse there is some serious fire going on not just retarded accurate shots.

Fixed that for you.
I never ever run out of ammo, probably because I never use surpressive fire.
