Hi guys

So i have a problem . When i try to run Pr or Bf2 , the screen wents black for a couple of seconds but it then returns to the desktop immediatly . I get no error message .

But the game worked fine 2 days ago o.O

I had this problem already before , but it was caused by Kaspersky . I turned Kaspersky off and it worked. But now ,.. it doesnt work anymore -.-" :

hm. maybe resoution? Check your profile's resolution (users/xxx/My documents/BF2/profiles...).

Have you tried reinstalling it?

Reinstalled it multiple times. Didnt help. also cleaned the regestry and reinstalled it again. didnt help. i checked these posts Bloody. but none of these helped to solve my problem. @ Daniel : what did you mean with resolution ?

Try to start PR in windowed mode.
Add this to the "Target" line on your PR desktop shortcut.

Should look similar to this:

Results : Pr startup takes very long. after 1 -2 minutes little window pops up which is black inside. It disappears in a couple of seconds and im back on the desktop again.

THEN maybe the refresh rate, try sth. like "@60"or lower...

oook ok ok ok ... so i solved my problem . looked like i didnt clean the registry properly ! but i have a new problem ! it looks like the installation of pr causes to dont let bf2 work anymore . o.O I installed Bf2 , patched to 1.41 , patched to 1.5 and played a couple of rounds . Everything was ok . Then i installed PR an wanted to play but i got the same problem like i said in my first post . STRANGE ! xD.

looks like i solved this problem too. Solution : Kaspersky deleted some "suspicious" files and backed them up. I recovered them and everything works fine now Thanks for helping me guys even if you couldnt help me

INDEED, Kaspersky IS THE BIGGEST program with the BIGGEST INTERVENTION in all other programs, as you see!!! Just GO get the free version of AVG.

NOOOOPE DONT LOCK IT ! After one day of playing pr without problem it wont start again today . And this time it is not Kaspersky, I already checked that. Also checked all the other posts from you guys -.- nothing worked. This shit is driving me crazy xD

Are you sure its not KAV again? Maybe he fetched some files again and placed them in quarantine?

If not reinstall in order as explained here on forums. Always update PB and run pbsvc check. Reboot after that, and oh, delete all subfolders in C:\Users\*YOU*\Documents\Battlefield 2

Dont edit anything in your shortcuts, start the game and you will have to retrieve your account since we deleted all profiles folders. Wont be a problem if you know which email adress and password you used when you were creating account. After that is done edit settings to suit your needs; video, audio, controls...etc

Like i migth expect nobdy knows the golden rule of patching RUN THE GAME BEFORE YOU GO PATCHING!

ok you installed the game restarded your pc and installed patch 1.51 and tryed to run it . it wont start but now the thing why its not starting !

your downloaded a patch from gamershell or a website ware a noob has uploaded the patch from gamershell . the patch from gamershell will trash your game after the patch.
and whitout the golden rule you wil never ever get a game run good after a patch!


if you have more questions send an mail i know the game very well and it has nothing to do whit rulisolution. oh and 1 final thing before you reinstall delete Battlefield 2 folder in your ducuments
