Hello!
I just came back to BF2 R because I remembered how fun it was. I wonder if i can run on the lowest settings on my older computer ?

Specs:
OS: Windows XP
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.0GHz
RAM: 512MB (DDR400) [WILL BE UPGRADED WITH 1GB IN FEW DAYS]
Video card: ATI Radeon 9600 Series AGP
Video memory: 128MB

If You need any more specs just ask.

It will lag. Need more RAM. Not sure about CPU, but sounds weak. GPU is nothing any good either. Sorry. :/

Will it lag with 1.5GB aswell? I mean badly lagggg.

well - here is specs for my old PC

CPU - Pentium 4 @ 3.4 GHz
GPU - Radeon HD3850 AGP, 512 MB version
RAM - DDR 400MHz, 2 GB

BF 2 - everything maxedout
PR - 10 to 21 fps (depends on map) (everything on low)

PR is CPU heavy game + it have higher recommended specs than vBF 2

Of course you can go ahead and try but it looks like on Muttrah you will get very low fps. (of course on low settings)

I DL'd PR to my old computer. ATM it has 512MB of RAM and it only lagged a bit when i started it and then it went very smooth. (Loading times almost killed meh xD) I belive 1GB of extra RAM will make it nice on low settings. We'll see.

i remember i couldnt load properly into PR back in .75 with an amd+3700 @2.4ghz and 512 ram, it wouldnt lag ingame, it just took twice to load even jabal, and loading took 5mins or more

Why not keep it open then you can come back once you're all set up and report your performance in the thread so we know what to expect the next time someone asks about super low specs.

You guys should realize that load times are heavily dependent on the hard drive(s) lol

Okay. Played it with 1.5GB of ram and it was very smooth

Played it with 1.5GB of memory. It was fawless.
