How do I record replays? Is there a button I have to press? And after that how do I watch them?

Cheers,
Ed

You cannot record client side in BF2, you would need some kind of 3rd party programme for that, e.g. fraps.

After signing in, you should see Barracks > Replays. Any server side replays of rounds you have played in should be in here, but only if the particular server has Battlerecorder enabled, I think. A replay also will not be saved if the server crashed half way through the round, or something similar.

Ok. After I go to replay in Barracks, i see a file and I click on download. Then I click on ok and it dissapears. Does it save it in a file somewhere? Because its gone from the Replay list.

Also, you should download them quickly, they get deleted a while after the game. Then you can re-watch them from any perspective as much as you please.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see your last post

It should appear right below the ones you can download (assuming it was still available).

Well. I clicked on the file, clicked on download, then clicked on ok, and it didn't show up in the Battlerecorder Library. Does it download it to a folder that I can open?

P.S. How do I know if a server has Battlerecorder enabled?

If it doesn't appear in the Battlerecorder Library after you've downloaded it, like Spec says its possible the file doesn't exist anymore and was deleted. Could be another explanation, but I don't know an awful lot about it I'm afraid.

Kind of difficult to tell. You could look around in the server feedback forums, check the first posts and it should say something like "Battlerecorder enabled", but I imagine most server admins wouldn't think to update that so it may not be current. Alternatively you could just try and ask an admin in game I guess.

to see which server has Battlerecorder you can also use xfire by clicking on the server and then details or w/e it said there in the window on the right, you need to read through a lot of server configs though, its a pretty long list

Ok. Thanks.

Karam how do I do the xfire thing? I have xfire but I only see Battlefield 2 servers, not Project Reality.

Moving this to technical support, as that seems more appropriate :)

bf2 servers are PR servers, you need to add them to favorites or after you played on theyll show up in the servers list (has an icon 2 monitors) or you can check if you have friends playing on a server by clicking on them, ofcourse you need to play with it on and it needs to have detected BF2 to work.

just explore it a bit its a super easy software to use, and its quite useful

click on a BF2 server in xfire and search for this line
bf2_autorec 1 if its that then battle recorder is working
if you dont see the recorded footage in the barracks after playing a game, go to the server owners website and asking for it
