Hey everyone I havn't been able to play PR in some time- I noticed on the Changelogs that 'Russian HUD no longer contains English' and was wondering if Russians have the Frogfoot on any maps yet or if that is for custom maps only. Has anyone run into this jet yet?

If so does anyone have screenshots?

Yes, I don't have any screens though. It is a very good attack aircraft.

Edit: I though the MEC SU-25 was the same as the Russian one. Sorry.

Its in the client files but not featured on any maps (yet).

A bit off topic, but why don't the Russians use the MEC Su-34 from vBF2 with a reskin? It's an awesome model.

fun vehicles are prohibited in PR, and if there are any, rest assured the devs are working hard to remove them

The Su-34 isn't very different from the Su-30mkk or the Tornado in terms of what it dose and they are both ingame

ye the colour of a vehicle changes how fun a vehicle is to use sooo much...

Providing the skin doesn't make the vehicle stick out like a saw thumb from its surroundings (which isn't really a factor for jets anyways) there really isn't any factors which changes gameplay, other than immersion but when inside a vehicle, your not going to be seeing much of its exterior anyways so its only really about when you walk up to get into it and the knowledge of what it looks like from the outside based on your memory.

The most likely biggest factor for you why you feel a Russian vehicle is more fun than a Chinese vehicle (even one that is a Russian design) is simply down to you being more interested in Russian kit and as such, being able to get more immersed with it as a result, not anything to do with the actual vehicle or "skin" for that matter itself.

actually it does to some extent, why do people download different models for games like CS and TF2, they might be bored of the old models, for me it was just more fun to play with nicer looking weapons

also as in skin i meant different model, but everything coding wise stays completely the same.

actually it does have to do with the vehicle its self, if the BTR90a or bmp3 was chinese id still prefer it over any vehicle in game, because they are just so much fun to drive and shoot, having oversized cannons on them, its just a coincidence that the russians are the only ones to over do things on vehicles.

well things dont work that way sorry, for one the su-34 has a pretty unique cockpit setup with the copilot being next to the pilot. also im pretty sure youll be able to tell the difference between a su-30 and 34 from a huge distance away, again because of the cockpit and the su34s rear radar dome is much larger than that of a su30

Currently, in PR, Russia is better than China because Chinese QBZ-95 model is horribly inaccurate to the real life model.

karambaitos you missed my point totally there.

My point was that you personally have a stronger connection to Russian stuff to Chinese stuff, so no matter if they are essentially the same vehicle (which w/e you say, the Su-30mkk and Su-34 are pretty much the same), due to you having a bigger interest in Russian stuff, this helps with your immersion and as a result, the more immersed you are in something the more fun it is to use/play.

Stop trying to argue that the minor differences in the model and/or skin are the reason because they really are not. For example even if we put the Su-34 on the Chinese team, with a Russian skin but changed the Russian symbol for a Chinese one and that was the only change, you would still prefer the Russian one over the Chinese one even thou the only difference between them is that tiny little symbol and the fact the Chinese forces are using it and nothing more.

well if both the Russia and china had it, then i wouldnt care, but if china had it but russia didnt then it just make no sense, and id be sad.

Well naturally we wouldn't do that due to realism reasons but just making my point on the immersion connection

correct, although not that hard to tell when side by side like that since small details like much larger landing gear are easy to see. Also Max dose not have AA (probaly could force it if I wanted to with the nvidia cp but no point) and I made them clay (default) as there biggest difference is there skin, and gray bg is default bg with max

The Su-34 was never in PR so we never removed it

It looks like the left aircraft is the SU-34.

Either way the Su-34 sounds like an epic strike fighter, seeing as how it even has a toilet.
