whenever i play PR i stick with the faction i land in, so its very annoying that some times the server switches me to the other side . mostly because of some people who just want to play BLUFOR in every match .

in the end i play insurgent two times ... because if i am able to switch back all squads are formed... i rather stay with the insurgents and create a squad there.

but i can live with that, the worst part in people always switching to BLUFOR is the unknown cache information... (there is always some backstabber), a lot o purple caches are destroyed because of this

its uncanny that most of time blufor team has 1 or 2 more players than the insurgent side (some times even 3) ...at least until the Team balance kicks in.

there should be a way to make the team balance never move a player that started the round in a team to another... First-come, first-served

Yeah, the auto ballance thing never bothered me until this month, but then I got side switched twice in as many matches right when I was with a really sound squad. Is there a way they can make it voluntary, like a message asking you if you mind switching sides?

The server admins could disable team balance and the problem would be solved. Of course this would present other problems like teams being uneven, people switching to get intel on caches, etc.

I'm one of those people that tries to switch teams on insurgency games. Except I always switch to the insurgent side.(i enjoy defending with unconventional tactics) Which is usually very easy because as was said, there are always 1 or 2 more blufor. I never switch when teams are even.

This problem drives me nuts as well. This isn't Project BluFor, it's Project Reality. Play the side you are on, and deal with it. It is not fair to the poor ******* that gets auto-balanced out of a good squad to the other team because you are lazy and don't like playing without optics. Learn to use iron sights like the rest of us.

Personally, I would recommend locking out player controlled manual team switching in the first 10 minutes of a game, the first 10 minutes after a player joins a game, and add a 10 minute cool down to manual team switches. The only way that a player should be team switched during that time is with auto-balance or via admin command. That would drastically reduce this problem.

Very good idea, deffinitley like! The only fly in the ointment would be if you CTD and want to rejoin your previous squad, but were on the wrong team, (though that doesn't happenrd to me in a good long while now). Also would be annoying if you have a new player, and you've agreed to stick on the same squad with him / her and keep them out of "trouble".

On most reputable servers, there are responsive admins available the majority of the time. In cases like that, admin intervention could solve that problem.
